A quick Friday afternoon bloglet to say Bon Voyage to OM's commercial manager, gorgeous, pouting blonde bombshell, Melissa Sharpington.
It's been an absolute pleasure working with Melissa for the past couple of years and I'm sure that OM's commercial partners would agree whole-heartedly - she's been a brilliant colleague, awesomely efficient and enthusiastic and always entertaining company on various outdoor show trips, though her reading of Fifty Shade of Grey publically on a Swiss train was a trifle embarassing for yours truly.
Anyway, Melissa's taking a year off to go travelling with her bloke, Josh, in southern Africa, which sounds absolutely brilliant and we're appallingly envious.
And because somehow, Melissa has managed to work all this time on OM without every acquiring a suitable large pack for her travels, as a leaving gift, we got her an Osprey Waypoint 85 women's-specific travel pack. Should be ideal for general travelling thanks to suitcase-like packability combined with a neat, gender-specific full harness which should be well up to wearing when being chased across the Serenghetti by hungy lions or taking on proper longer treks.
In addition, there's a neat zip-off 15-litre Waypoint Day daypack so Melissa can dump the main pack in a hostel and just take what she needs for the day with her. Neat huh?
So anyway, hun. Have a great year, enjoy the pack and the travel and send us a postcard some time. We're going to miss you.
