No workshop in Northern Ireland. Whats up with that?

Maybe they want the northern Irish to get lost?

bit harsh

OS covers England, Scotland & Wales.  OSNI covers NI, and is a separate entity (IIRC from a previous thread, although I recall there was a dispute over this point).  Therefore, since workshops are supported by OS, they're only offering them 'in their domain'?

There's no workshops in Northern Ireland because Ordnance Survey don't cover Northern Ireland - they cover Great Britain (England, Scotland & Wales) only. Ordnance Survey Northern Ireland / Ordnance Survey Ireland who map Ireland, despite the name, are separate organisations.

they still work under one organisation.

No workshop in the channel Islands either, mind you the grid references are in negative numbers down here!

Is there a Cotswolds in the Channel Islands?

Anyway, surely nav is easy there - you've got a big blue catching feature whatever direction you walk in

Maybe Ulster said 'No'

Here's the thread I recalled with the discussion of OSNI.

Maybe this question could be forwarded to OSNI and Cotswolds...

Strange that they're holding the workshops mid week, can't really justify taking a day off for it :(

Looks like the OS are also running some of these workshops in other shops as well

OS Map reading workshops

Good news if you're in Keswick, Cockermouth, Chipping Norton, Nairn or Kirkwall.
