I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. First impression is that it's light and fast, even when using a nearly empty 250g cartridge. One strange "feature" I've observed with mine is it's occasional tendency to flare - maybe a momentary malfunction of the regulator? I can see that being an issue inside the porch of a small tent like an Akto....

Flaring stoves?  Ouch!  No thanks...

Yes, seems to run well on a part-filled cartridge. Was chatting to Petesy about the ignition failure yesterday, his take is that the ignition unit is badly placed in that you tend to use it to screw the stove onto the cartridge inadvertently and this may well be what damaged the ignition.

I was worried about shearing off the red plastic igniter button when screwing on/off the gas cartridge Jon - so far I've remembered to grasp it at the brass base of the regulator handle when turning it. No doubt I'll forget and use the igniter sooner of later...
