"One plus, says the AA, is that some area coverage has been rationalised, so while certain routes in the central Lake District could conceivably require you to carry no fewer than four OS 1:25,000 sheets for a single worst case walk, the double-sided AA Central Lake District map would mean you could get away with just a single sheet for the same area, which is not only more practical but saves money as well."

Smashing. A bit like the Harveys/BMC map, then.

What ticks me off with OS is the way they join up areas on CD's. I recently bought NW Scotland and and the join with NE is a strange castallation nearly forcing me to buy the NE which I guess is what they wanted
