Lucky Jim, I'm sure if you asked, Sean would run you up something a bit wider. Or you could just carry a bit of polythene to keep kit off the ground.

Sure, thanks Kev

As Kev said. I use the tub as my sleeping/sitting sheet and add polycro sheeting for other gear I want to keep off wet ground.

Replied to everyone.

Jim - I can do whatever size you like, but not at these prices. They are cheap as I've been using up offcuts that aren't big enough to do much else with and the chikara is too expensive to simply discard.

Two sold pending payment, which leaves one definitely available.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL CUSTOMERS OF OOOKWORKS

Sean of Oookworks has asked me to relay his apologies to those people awaiting shipping of orders. Due to a family disaster, shipping will be delayed until the end of the week. Sean also hasnt got any internet connection at present hence his request for me to pass on this information.

If there are any specific questions regarding current orders I will pass these on to Sean and relay any further information back from him here on this thread

cheers, Dave

Hi Dave

I ordered an oookstar 8 weeks ago. Can you confirm with Sean that it will be sent out by end of week as I need it for an upcoming trip.

Thanks

Hi folks. Finally back on line now, although access will be intermittent until the end of this week when I get a proper wireless connection set up.

The two sold tubs will ship tomorrow. One is still available.

Peter - thanks for the glowing review. Much appreciated.

Dave - thank you so much for being a go between. The last thing I wanted was folk worrying where their stuff was.

GOF - everything is far from well, but it will be. OookWorks continues and I've even had a write up in this month's TGO mag (thank you Chris Townsend) which has lifted my spirits no end.

Shewie and Miko - many thanks for your patience.

Last OookTub now sold.

If it helps at all, you dont need to worry about my order either Sean.  I'm finally off on a solo trip this wednesday, but as I'm being pushed to take the dog, I'll probably take the Unna anyway, as the soft sod doesnt like being left in a porch!

All the best. Glynn.

Hi Sean,

I've been trying to get you on e-mail and twitter.
Can I possibly have an update on my Duomid Oooknest order?

Many thanks,
Bogdan

Hi Bogdan,

Only just back online today and a mountain of emails to get through. I have just emailed you.

I was just wondering. Is this the chikara nylon that is PU coated on both sides and weighs about 45 gram per square meter? If so how does it do opn wet ground? What's the watercolumn of that stuff?

21/08/2012 at 09:44

Hi Zuma. Yes, it is. Performs well on wet ground. Several products that use it made this year's TGO crossing with no problems.

Hydrostatic head info isn't available, but I would say it is about the same as the silnylon used on a lot of the lightweight US tent floors.
