Hi All,
I'm selling a pair of snowblades (about 1 metre long)with non-release bindings. These bindings will fit most ski boots and any climbing boot that will take a C3 crampon. The bindings do not release at the heel, so can't be used for uphill or cross-country skiing, but can be fitted to climbing boots for downhill.
As well as the skis, I also have a pair of skins that have been trimmed to fit the skis. The skins are modified cross country skins that were much too thin. I have sewn a sheath for the top of the skis and stitched in 2 widths of the cross country skins so that they cover the width of the skis.
Although this sounds like a bodge (well, it is!) the skins work very well and have recently been re-glued so they're in good, working order.
I used the skis with touring bindings on for uphill and cross country, which is why the skins are there, but the original bindings that I'm selling the skis with will NOT work for this - although they do still fit onto climbing boots.
Any questions please feel free to ask, and I will consider splitting the skins and skis up if necessary.
Pictures also available upon request, but please put up with my rubbish camera.
I'm looking for around £80 for the pair.
Thanks for the interest,
Andy.
P.S. I'm only selling, because I've just bought longer skis and have transferred my touring bindings over.
P.P.S. I'm based in Reading, but can post if you live further afield.
