Terra Nova Superlite Voyager.

Purchased a couple of weeks ago. The tent has not been used and is therefore in perfect 'box fresh' condition. The tent bag still has the original shop swing tags attached.

I have decided that it is not the answer to my particular tenting requirements so it is up for sale.

The tent is green for those of you on the site who obsess between red and green tents!

Terra Nova state an rrp of £350, the label on mines says £340. A quick look on Google would suggest that the normal price is £300.

£280 including insured delivery or alternatively I would consider a p/x for a recent Hilleberg Akto in excellent condition.

Here for £262.50 + £3.50 p&p

Thanks for that, I hope I can return the favour some day!!!

How about £255 including insured postage or p/x for an Akto or similar.

Have you contacted the shop you bought it from? Tell them it is unused and you want to buy an Akto from them instead. You never know.

As Mike says... you'll obviously have to pay the postage but as long as it really is in unused condition it shouldn't be a problem getting a full refund, assuming you haven't had it lying around for months.

Getting a full refund wil depend on the terms and conditions of the particular seller.  The time limit varies - 14 days is quite common and some give 30 days.

tmm says 'purchased a couple of weeks ago' - he might be lucky and it's always worth trying even if he finds he's out of time.

The tent was purchased on the 20th August 2008.

Call and ask.  Even if a refund isn't possible they'll maybe be willing to swap it for an alternative... which is okay if they do Hilleberg too.

Pete.

Sadly the shop I purchased the tent from is not a Hilleberg stockist.

Anyone want to buy a tent?

£95 less than rrp for a brand new, unused tent including insured delivery.

Following some minor confusion from an OMer this weekend let me clarify things.

The tent has a retail recommended price of £350. I am offering the tent for sale at £255 including insured delivery to a UK address. The price I am offering the tent for is £95 less than the retail price.

The tent is NOT being offered for sale for £95!!

Anyone interested?

Cheers

Tent is now £250!!

A massive £100 of the retail price.

My price includes insured delivery to a UK address.

tmm, I'd go for eBay, where people have a track record of paying stupidly high prices for new and popular tents.  You can always put a sensible reserve on it just in case.

Being a bunch of tent-saddoes on OM you're trying to sell into a pretty dead market!

You may well be right Pete. I was just trying to save myself the hassle of dealing with Ebay.

If it doesn't go this week I'll stick on there and see what happens.

Thanks!

What did you do in the end Tmm?

Hey Monkeyman!

Still for sale.

Just about to move house so I haven't got around to listing it on Ebay. Unless it gets sold on here I think I might wait until people are looking for Christmas presents and then get it on Ebay.

Are you interested?

Still available. Anyone fancy making me an offer?

Hope you sell your tent tmm. Unfortunately in this competitive world of outdoor retailers and gear RRP means nothing.

Thanks Jamie,

Not even had one offer on it yet!! I reckon it will have to go on Ebay where it will make someone a lovely Christmas present. Once we get sorted in our new house (complted today!!) I'll get it listed. Until then it's first dibs to the OMers.
