I have just realised that the Coleman Raid 2 is pretty much the same as the Rigel (the subject of my last wanted ad)

As the title really, i'm wanting to try a Coleman Raid 2 tent on a couple of trips.

Has anyone got one that they don't use and want to let go cheap?!!!
The OH hasn't signed off this purchase, so it could do with being as cheap as possible please.

Cheers in advance

why you so focussed on the Coleman offer?

I think the Raid is a single skin tent...not for me thank you...has and a quote from elsewehere a "coffin like interior"..likewise not for me...and is titchy with comments like cant get me and my rucksack inside it.

The Rigel is the newer version by the way - and has similar comments.

Why?  There are so many better "tents" out there  that are marginally heavier but much cheaper.

Sorry should have said, i'm after one to possibly replace my Army GOre Tex Bivi bag (which also weighs in at 980gms), so a Raid will give more room, for the same weight.

I'd still think again.

For instance - the Argos Hikelite/Tigerpaw.  Green ones come up second hand on Ebay for £25 ish, the orange version, about the same money.

Cracking double skin tent at about 1.25Kg

I've used mine in the winter - was a touch draughty, but fine

Two of the green ones went on here in the last couple of weeks for £25 inc p&p, it's not often you see them for sale though, you'd have to ask with an ad i guess.

You could also consider the Vango ultralite 100 if you're sold on single skin, and can get hold of one.

Eion did the C2C in one without too much incident, not my cup of tea though.
