Looking for a pair of lightweight insulating over trousers, not salopettes, but something like the paramo Torres trousers or the mountain hard wear compressor trousers. Something lightweight that can live in a backpack until needed and can then be put on easily whilst wearing crampons, hence the full side zips.

These are for the missus, so a size medium ladies or small / medium mens.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give us.

ChEers Simon, but do they completely separate? Want something she can put on and take off without having to sit down and trying to thread her boot and crampon through the waist and leg.

When Pandas go Bad wrote (see)

the ones I have do

- Trousers, Thermal, Reversable - Olive/Sand

- made by snugpak

  £15 unissued - i.e. brand new.

I'm usually a medium, but small was fine - still quite 'generous' for my sticklegs

about 550g.

Only problem is -  elasticated waist but there is no drawstring or belt loops.  And there is a fly opening which has no fasting - needs some velcro there.

Cheers simon they look perfect, I've written to that site to ask about the sizing and weight, so will see what they say.

Mole - where did you buy yours from?

I got them from an army surplus stall at an agricultural show...
