Quick question about Cascada sizing

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out here.. I recently bought a pair of Cascada trousers in a size Large/Long. Now, having tried them they seem a little bit too long actually, with a bit of excess material bunching up around the ankles with my boots on. I checked the label inside and it just says: "L". So, the really quite boring question here is: does anyone own Cascadas in a long sizing, and does it say so on the inside labels? I'm trying to find out if I've definitely been sent the long or regular size..

Thanks a lot.

If the label on the waist just says L they are Large and regular. If the label on the waste says LL they are Large and Long

Thanks very much! That's what I thought too.

The thing is mike that a Large waisted/ Regular Leg Cascada has a 31.5 " inside leg

I know this for 2 reasons

1. i used to and still occasionally sell the stuff in a mates shop

2. I bought a new pair on saturday lol

On this note, I have a 32-34 waist and 32.5 inside leg. What size cascadas do you all reckon ? 31.5 inside leg seems too short, and longer leg size means huge waist.

If you look at Paramo's website you'll see that the trousers come in varying leg lengths for each waist size

see their size charts

Here

Oh and to answer your question LL (Long Large)

I'm also 32-34 waist and about a 32 leg. I bought cascadas 3 weeks ago and got men's medium (just M on the label). Paramo's sizing chart claims these are a 32 waist and 30 leg but they fit me ok without a lot of spare room and the leg is long enough over my boots. I tried the ML size with the 31.5 leg but it was just bunching around the ankles. I also tried a large pair and the volume was just ridiculous.

I've now worn them for 3 hill days and found them fine (excellent in fact), roomy enough and long enough. So it sounds to me like M would be ok for you but it would be good if you got chance to try ML too, if only for peace of mind.
From the Sizing Charts, I thought the reg length was 31.5" and the long 33", similar to normal trousers

According to the chart there's a change of leg length as you go from Medium to Large. for Medium the 3 leg length are 28,5, 30 and 31.5, but for Large they are 30, 31.5 and 33. It does get confusing!

Maybe Paramo think that having short fat people wearing their stuff would spoil its image!

;-)

they would be medium short leg then.

the waist sizes are, how shall be say, conservative.
medium fits my 34 waist just fine, including some leeway for them shrinking over xmas.

Hey, if the men's sizing chart gets confusing, just try and make any sense of the combinations available on the ladies' cascadas!!!

I did consult sizing chart initially,who wouldnt?Went from ML being 32 waist 31.5 leg..then jumps to 36 waist..what about inbetweenies ?
Anyway, from a dealer ( Castleberg Sports). A ML would definately be the job for me.The sizing allows for knee bending (!)

Why do Paramo make the sizing of their trousers so difficult? For a 34 waist I had to buy large (up to 36) and for a 31 leg a short leg length, overall size LS. I still find them too baggy and bunching round the ankle. But having paid £100 I'll be wearing them till they're worn out.

Why do they assume that tall people would only want to buy cascada trousers? They are the only ones in their range that come in a 33" leg.

having read the sizing chart i opted for Large short, but they were vast - enormous acres of material that bore no relation to the sizing indicated.

replaced them with Medium short and find them very comfortable and no breathing in required.

bizarre.

medium size is fine for a 34 waist.
the waists have a *lot* of leeway.

I bought some mediums and they fit my 32-34 waist without problem. Lots of room. My leg is a 31 at Marks and Spencers and a 29 at Levi's. The Medium Cascada's fit me well.

I get to try my new Cascada's in anger tomorrow in the lakes. It is going to be wet so it should be interesting. I hope the £80 was well spent.

I bought some new Cascadas last year to replace my old ones. I found I had to try a couple of different lengths - with the articulated knee design it makes a real difference if you get the "knee" on the trousers to line up with your own.

The longer ones seemed to really "drag" when I bent my knee as if climbing. I think that's partly 'cos the liner velcros to my hairy legs though, lol. :-)
