Fantastic Paramo bargains
Mountain Factor and Cunninghams in Ambleside

I spent some time on Friday and today trawling the kit shops in Ambleside and found the best bunch of Paramo bargains I've ever seen.

I got a pair of Salopettes from Mountain Venture for £100, reduced from £190! They also had Aspira Trousers for £90, reduced from something like £180 or so, as well as Viento trousers and jackets and other jackets too.

In Jack Cunninghams they had Aspira, Vient, Cascada and Alta jackets at massive reductions, as well as some Velezes. There wasn't a vast range of colours but none of them looked horrible to me.

Anyone looking for Paramo at the moment really should give these shops a ring: you could save a fortune.

Shirl - that's very, very bad of you! Just keep tempting me don't you but I will not succumb...just yet! ;-)
Thanks Shirl my wallet and my plastic card have done a runner ;)

Wonder if they have a nice P###mo fleece? as my trusty sprayway's zip bust on friday
:(

They do actually have some sort of Paramo fleeces in Mountain Factor at only £30! They're rather an odd shade of green, but so what!

They've got what I'm pretty sure is the Explorer, and also what I think may be the Mountain Pullon. You should give them a ring if you want a fleece.

I bought one of them - the green would not have been my first choice of colour but it's not bad either. Bought large which is baggier than I normally buy but comfortable! ;)

Will have to try it 'out' in the next few days.

F&T also have some Rab fleece tops (various weights and colours) at about £25 (half normal price) plus another 15% off if you use the sale extra discount voucher (SK61).
One for all you Paramo buffs to be aware of. I came across this site http://paramouk.com/ while searching for Paramo. While their prices are good please be aware that this is NOT the official Paramo site. I have drawn this to Paramo's attention and they are contacting them as it is clear they are trying to pass themselves off as the official site.

I had a flyer from GO Outdoors last week and they had a page of half price Paramo stuff. I havenit it with me athe moment so can't be more specific, sorry.

Just noted the comment about fleeces.

If anyone is going to the Outdoor Show, you can usually get real bargains on the Paramo stand. Mind you, look carefully before you buy. Last year I bought a top, the design of which I have never seen before or since. I use it for just knocking around in. It's great except the sleeves are about a quarter longer than usual!

Jack Cunningham has retired!
He was MP for Wasdale (where else!) and was succeeded by Jamie Reed last year

Are you sure about that? Were Old Labour really more scary than New Labour?

(Sorry, going a bit O/T there).

Some great Paramo bargains in Ambleside at the moment......

bringing it vaguely back OT, if anyone sees any good bargains on an Aspira, please flag it up. It seems to be the one Paramo jacket that's never reduced.

As if by magic.....

This could be what you're looking for, at The Mountain Factor here

(Ah, spoke too soon, only any good if you're S, XL or XXL, sorry.)

There's £30 off them at ryedale-rambler.co.uk. Not quite the same bargain....

Sorry for a silly question here but I am about 2 hours from a Paramo dealer so don't get to try it on, how is Paramo sized? Im familiar with the (close-fitting) Mountain Hardware and (looser fitting) Berghaus and I take a small to medium (5ft 9ish, slim build). How would Paramo compare to this? Im very tempted by some of these prices, perhaps even just for a Parameta t-shirt.

They had a load of reduced Aspira jackets at **** Cunninghams too. Details above. Ring if it's not on the website.

Ben - it's hard to say, but I think I'd say they're a little on the large size. My Viento M is pretty big. At those prices, though, it might be worth taking a chance on the understanding that you can return it for a swap if you pay the extra postage.

It looks like the paramouk.com site has been taken down. Does anyone know if this was a site for an official retailer?
