It's looks a touch enormous, OM.

Anyway, I already have a Primus stove but I tend to use Coleman gas cannisters because that's what my usual shop has.

It slips into my rucksack top pocket a treat. Comes with its' own little bag and a windshield. Quite light, and boils up a cuppa quickly too.
Nice and shiny too!!! :-)

How difficult is it really to stabilise a chuffing gas cylinder cooker? Who really needs nifty bits of kit to do it?

Not hard at all unless you're using tiny gas cans with a big chuffing pot. A tent peg works fine unless you're cooking on a groundsheet.

Well, no. The last time I cooked in the porch I'd have needed to thaw a bit of frozen turf if I wanted a dollop of mud.

Yeah, I saw that yesterday but it doesn't widen the base and that's what I'm after.

Cheers though.

Tiny gas cans with a big chuffing pot?
Hey! I'm afraid I baulk at the feeding of the 5,000. I go tall, slim and solo.

Solo here as well but I'm usually hungry. ;o]
