It's a waterproof dry bag that doubles as a neat, idiot-proof compression sac. Sometimes it's the simple things that work best :-)

Anyone interested in getting a pack of 4 (xs, s, m & l) for £20, check out backpacking light : (Thats a saving of £25)

http://www.backpackinglight.co.uk

I used them on a recent bivi, and they work brilliantly (so long as you don't leave them open in the rain ;-)

chris, was that advertising? tsk! tsk!

still, they're great anyways

Erm, does Chris have a link to backpacking light then? That does look rather like an ad(!)

Anyway, I also recommend the OD stuffsacks, best of their kind imho.

Excellent kit.
BTW, the backpackinglight sets of four sacks are the Gore-Tex versions, not eVENT. Not that it makes much difference...

Jsut ordered my self some as i meant to do it before but completely forgot so the article served as a timely reminder.

the extra small one makes an excellent camera bag or for other electrical temperamental items.

?????

So Parky, how much extra air can you squash out of your camera with the vacuum effect?

Not affiliated in any way (honest!) Just thought I'd share my good luck in stumbling across them. Mind you, I wonder if they'll lob me a freebee if their sales go up ;-)

I woulnd't buy their footcream though, it makes your boots smell like a girl's

Stumbling? Jon seems to give Bob a plug at least once a month, you really aren't paying attention if you hadn't found it already.
Chris

"I woulnd't (sic) buy their footcream though, it makes your boots smell like a girl's "

Did you just miss out the full stop, or is there a prize for the best finishing word for this sentence?

:-)

Thanks Jon. As with Moggy, I ordered mine yesterday afternoon (3:30pm!) and they arrived today along with the flatworld picnic set which is good fun!

Ah ha!

Now I can see why I've suddenly had a rush on these - thanks all for your custom.

I'll be keeping the offer going until they all run out which won't be long at this rate.

Thanks Chris for mentioning it. You're all lovely people. Glad you all like 'em.

And yeah ... like a girl's what?

I've bought them from Backpackinglight. I ordered in the afternoon, and to my pleasant surprise they had turned up the next day, along with a little freebie first-aid kit, CD of Backpackinglight Podcasts and a little handwritten note congratulating me on my purchase. Very pleased with the bags, but even more pleased with the customer service. I'm gonna order some more stuff- that's if I can keep it a secret from my other half. Good job it all comes in plain brown packaging!!! ;-)

will be writing scathing review if my feet/shoes/boots smell anything like the Angel's. (another use for the bags)
