what is soooooooo bloody annoying about this thread is the high recommendation by that annoying anti-paramo too hot, too heavy, doesn't suit me, i know best etc person who eventually saw the extreme error of their ways and fell into the darkside...

who says this site doen't have influence; and after such recommendation...

<damn! where did that cioch bookmark come from...>

The problem with jackets like these is that all my other jackets that i thought were the badgers nuts have now been relegated to ebay, and it can be quite emotional...

...to the point were im in the post office shouting: YOU CAN TRY AND TAKE THIS PARCEL OUT OF MY DEAD HANDS!

Im off to dream about a future custom made windshirt...........TTFN

erm...just out of idle curiosity mind.....

looking at the arm measurements on the site, where do the arms come to on your hand when your arms are at your side?

My arms go to the wrist area. From there down they're called hands. I would imagine that the sleeves would cover a similar distance, but this might depend on how long you ask for the sleeves to be
Show/hide user stats

aw you're teasing now

i thought that too cb but measure to the third knuckle of your middle finger from your neck?

just wondering if the sleeves following this measurement end us as proper sleeves or ones you can withdraw your hands, tortoise like, up into.

yep, already tried it with a piece of string with rather inconclusive results apart from the usual expression reserved for me from the Angel.

all out of sheer curiosity mind. just curiosity. honest.

Parky - If you click on 'Order' (just out of curiosity obviously), detailed measuring advice is provided, including:

Extend arm horizontally. Measure from top of collar bone to 3rd knuckle of middle finger for waterproofs and windshirt, (2nd knuckle for fleeces).

Ah - I see you have already tried it (read the post stupid).

Happy to report that the length of sleeves on both my made-to-measure are spot on and are in no way Dennis Law like.

They come to exactly the right place. You don't want waterproof sleeves ending at your wrist bone otherwise you get wet baselayer sleeves or else water running inside your gloves.

The sleeves don't end up on your knuckle because the fabric creases around your elbow a bit.

ah, splendid. the right length then! thanks all.

Parky, you want to get a swatch.  I did and the green is absolutely nothing like the nice khaki-green on the website - it's much more Robin hood.

Looks like Black for me unless I can get them to do a special khaki one.
