Yeah, give Drew red text. And a red background too.

5) Spellcheck (the ABC icon): this underlines any suspect spelling. Click on an underlined word for suggestions

Ha!! Wonder what it will make of technical terms and proper nouns. Essay marking's always spiced up by the occasional casualty of the spell-checker!

Ha! I'm going away for 5 weeks, and I'm sure I won't know my way around when I get back!

Dopn't worry Paddy, I'm sure Cicerone will be asking you to do a guide for it

Guys, apologies, this will now go live about 3.30 today.

We told Jon that we were ready when he was, at 10ish this morning, and we were... until we spotted one last bug*

That's fixed, just being updated, and then the OM transformation will go ahead

Question is, will it all work with Safari? Currently there's a few issues, so I'm having to use the slower Camino. Hopefully the upgrade will 'fit' with accepted web standards. Fingers crossed.

I use Firefox on a Mac and it works very well, I don't know what the situation with Safari is on the upgrade front, I guess Sean will have a better idea.

The search function is being upgraded across the site, but again Sean is your man when it comes to detailed information, it's an issue that we're very aware of and it's obviously in everyone's interests to get it improved. There won't, I'm afraid, be any improvements in the imminent upgrade.

The site may be pink or it may not be. I was thinking a brighter, puce sort of shade would lift people's spirits over the winter.

As far as Classifieds go, I could create a forum classifieds section very easily, the only thing that's stopping me is that I'm not sure it's a good idea for the 'lastest posts' listing to include classifies, so I'm looking into whether we can sidestep that.

Finally, there will also be an 'Ignore Everyone' button for those who dislike cliques

One thing I've always wondered...

When anyone emails me via OM, it goes straight to 'junk mail' no matter how much I fiddle around with settings at this end. Now that's no big deal if I spot it happening, but it all gets automatically deleted after a week, so when I go away for longer than that, I haven't the foggiest idea who tried to contact me, or when, or why.

Sorry if anyone's been offended in the past by not getting a reply... but that's how the system seems to work. OM mailings just get tagged as 'junk'.

re: search function. Why don't you talk to Mad Jim? His OM search function is rather better than the OM one!!
