 - Where? Beddgelert Forest Holidays Campsite - discount if you're a Camping & Caravanning Club member. The campsite's website's out of order at the moment so I can't put in a link.
- When? 25th - 27th April.
- Excellent low and high level walks within easy distance.
Knees permitting, I might be up for the Snowdon Horseshoe.

Aye Kate, the C&CC site isn't playing right now, but it's this place on the Forest Holidays site http://www.forestholidays.co.uk/camping__caravanning/wales/beddgelert.aspx Hopefully MoS and I will make it, although our plans don't extend beyond the end of March yet to know for sure. Moel Hebog direct off the campsite . It must be over 20 years since I went up that one.
Take a bike too. Its a long walk to and from the pub.
Nice and handy for us - if we're campsiting it I could even try to get the boss and the mini boss (wife and daughter to come too)it'll be the complete opposite to the windy meet in that case!
big family tent and all the trimmings - never mind light packing, creature comforts and lots of stuff! I'll be the one sitting on a lounger supping beer from the portable cooler
just checked my work schedule and I'm workin that weekend. Can't win them all I guess.
Yippee. Hopefully I'll be there but as usual will hold back till nearer the date. I've got a knee problem now, it's spreading throughout South Wales.
Oh no - South Wales Knee Rot! Let's hope it's spreading west and not east, or Imperial Dave'll be next in the firing line...
Ooh a Meet yay! We'll probably be coming to this one!
So what's the deal with these meets? anyone welcome? I'll be redundant by then! and twixt hols, so I/we might be up for this. I'd love high walks but the horseshoe looks way out my depth. Dogs welcome at the campsite too so Paul and the hound might be interested but he probably wouldn't want to do anything high level, or strenuous. Beth

The deal with the meets is that it's entirely what you want to make of it. Everybody's welcome, people do what they want to in terms of walking, biking, lounging round the campsite, some / many head off to the pub in the evening then have a nightcap back at the campsite, but others eat on site. There's no 'organisation' as such, except that I'll contact the campsite nearer the time when we've got an idea of numbers. Everyone's responsible for themselves - there's no 'organised walks' or anything - people indicate what they want to do and others might join them if they feel like it. Or not! It's all very relaxed. Though I am hoping that MoS and Jamie's Nicky will both come and we can have a flap-jack tasting session
Unlikely to make this one as its the week before we head to Torridon (sad face is for not making the meet but for going to Torridon)
Ack. Thanks. Flap-jacks, haven't made them in years! Beth
Kate, don't contact them as they have a group field which isn't very good and a long way from the shower blocks.
They'll dump us out there if they get a sniff of a group turning up. [anyone remember the noisy lot playing Pink Floyd music last time?!]
It's best if people just book online and go for "Oh what a coincidence! Fancy meeting you...and you!"
ok, thanks Mike. Any chance of you making it? It was quite entertaining when NNPB 'turned up' at the Eskdale meet last April as a backpacker and qualified for the cheaper backpacker's rate. Stef had dropped him off at the gate and he'd just walked up the path to the office!! We were 'very surprised' to meet him as we were checking in!
I usually pretend I don't you ruddy lot anyway
Already booked Kate me old mate!
Have to look at work rota and see whats up but hopefully will make this one. Just bought tarp etc so with a low level sight may just try it out there (but hope I've tried it before then anyway around home).
Simon, if you're thinking of tarping then you'd better pray that the midge season doesn't start early this year!!
I've stayed on this site once before in July or August and it was bad.
 I'll second that
