Yes, it will be ok on very windy locations/days up high and clear of valleys floors. Need to use one down in a deep valley or someplace else with no noticable wind and I think you would be up the proverbial creek, charging with one. Good for home UK use maybe, but not necessarily overseas outside Europe perhaps. Still looks a bit big/bulky for my liking right yet. The later models may well overcome some of the outdoors use design flaws later on though. They do say now that wind power is the sensible way to go these days generally speaking.Such a plentiful supply of energy just awaiting tapping into!

Yeah! I know, good isn't she...I mean it! The bra that recharges ones mp3 player etc. I was telling the girls about it this morning on the Bennachie thread. It is posted in the full Yahoo article on the ECO GREEN BACKPACKING KIT thread, if anyone has further interest!

This is definitely one up from the original Trevor Baylis design idea from about five or six years ago, of the charging unit in the sole of a shoe, that charges up ones mobile phone as you walk! A pity he did not get that one into production as yet here.
