Hi Jules, I found this on UKC http://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/t.php?t=304837 which mentions the crag and then I looked on South Wales Mountaineering club and you need to go to the bulletins to find the info on it.  About half way down.

Aye,Simons right, there is some info on these sites, the south wales mountaineering club bulletin board has a little more info on craig y pal near glais, theres also some info on dyffryn crag near skewen on there.Alternatively go to sportsclimbing.co.uk and follow the links to the s.wales sandstone page.

Another thoroughly enjoyable day yesterday at dynamic rock too.

Just looking at the weather forecast, yesterday showed a dry day all day now its showing a bit of rain first thing but only a little bit so hopefully it will stay dry enough.

My intention is to get there early enough to see the tide go out and spend all day.

Sounds like a plan to me.

You can check the tides on the Climbers club Web Site

so what do you all say for a 0930 / 1000 on site (sunday) then so we can get there and climb if the tides has gone out enough? should give us approximatly 6 hours clear climbing time?

If its not out far enough we sit , chat and have a brew?

Ok, shall we see you at the cliff at 10 then if anyone is delayed then those there can get climbing.

You might need some drying out time for the rock as well but it usualy drys in about ten /fiveteen mins if theres any breaze at all.

So after looking at the weather for the last week, what a wonderfull day we had.  Dry and Sunny.

I think myself and Alan did about 6 routes in total and spied some more that we will go back and do later, I know that my daughter enjoyed herself even though she only had one climb it was a good one and the rest was spent making sand castles and running in the water.

She was fast asleep before we even got home.

Till next time.

When did you take that picture, all Kirsty said was "FAT BOY, Thats you"

 NOT HAPPY

Show/hide user stats

I took that right at the beginning.  There's no fat boy, just your head is smaller than the body.

Just wait until she's half way up the cliff and then we'll see who's the biggest...

Show/hide user stats

Opppppsssss Shes sitting next to me , sore arm now

She also said that my head looks too small for my body

Looks more like a BIG ZIT on my shoulders

Can you email me the other "pictures" I took?"

Show/hide user stats

Ha! an 'action' photo of me,didnt even know you'd taken it.Would it be okay to use the pic on one of my web pages?

thanks.

Sorry, missed your phonecall Jules...didnt pick up the message until this morning!

Been kind of a busy weekend round here anyway(band/music stuff).

Let me know of the next planned day out,I'll be there.

cheers

Oh we couldn't wait until the next tide so ended up going to Morlais in Merthyr.  Today was cloudy but the sun came out early and dried up the rock and in 4 hours we managed to get 5 climbs in.

And somehow I only managed to get photos of Alan again.

Good short day had.  Quick decision so no chance to let all know - Sorry.
