 Sounds interesting. I have driven past Moffat so many times on the way to-from the Highlands and each time I think one day it would be nice to stop and have a look around and explre the hills.

 I've had one long weekend up there (staying in a Moffat hotel that time) and I'd certainly be interested in a return.....

Dates are open to what suits everybody best really. I like the wildcamp aspect of things but I realise its not everybodies cup of tea. I suppose this one should be, as Kate puts it a 'normal' meet on a campsite but I'll happily go to a wild camp meet in the area also if theres interest. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4688 Google threw this up. I've never organised (or attended) an OM meet before, I think the majority should rule. Richard the hills down there are well worth exploring, loads of peeps(myself included)just drive past them on their way to other more popular hills. I gotta go get ready for nightshift now, and then I'm off tomorrow morning for a weekend around the Ardgarten peninsula so I'm not ignoring this thread.  I might be up for this. I think your best bet is to pick a date that suits you bigbananafeet and then stick to it.

Looks like a good campsite, BBF, the camping & caravanning club ones usually are. And it's not far from Burnswark near Lockerbie which is an important Roman site. Which means it can be a research trip Yay!!

Well looks like a fair bit of interest then I checked the calender at work and pretty much the only time I can manage is 13th to 16th of June A nice lucky day to start off on Any thoughts?.......the Toffee place looks good

  Sorry to say that AT & I will not be able to make those dates due to dragging AT's workmates up the CMD arete that weekend (but only if it's sunny!!)

 I’ve been keeping an eye on this thread as only a couple of hours drive for me. But come, somebody grow a pair & put a date on it b4 I lose the will to live. Whatever date you pick, it will not fit with everyone. Especially with it being holiday season & all that. I quite fancy a wander up Grey Mares Tail & a spot of wild camping on Whitecoomb?

Ok I was thinking about a bimble around the grey mares tail also and maybe a wild camp at Firthybrig head or Lochcraig head, Whitecoombe is a possibility also. Sat the 14th is prob best for me.
