Is that really true AT? If I were going to do the WHW it wouldn't be at the height of the midge season. I did that - it was purgatorial. And it made me realise that going on your summer holidays with teachers is (unfortunately) something to be avoided!

 I'm up for this, would have to arrive at least midday on the fri and leave pretty early on the sun so I can get back to work.

 I'm a maybe. The Midges have been hell on Mull and elsewhere this past couple of weeks, with everyone saying they are BAD, the worst they have ever seen or experienced. I'm not keen to camp then unless it's high - I've never wild camped before, or we get ourselves a camper van.
