I have been directed to some piccies (see links below) of what appears to be criminal damage being inflicted at an ancient monument - Castlerigg stone circle in Cumbria. This seems to be part of some ill-conceived New Age get-together, rather than a properly organised Pagan ritual (Pagans would show a bit more bloody respect). If anyone has any info as to the identities of those involved, I know folk who would like to know for purposes of possible prosecution. Piccie one Piccie two

BBC local news (Cumbria?) might be interested. When some numpty "graffiti'd" Skara Brae it made the Scottish news. Tracked the wee w***er down to Liverpool or thereabouts, I believe.

I agree with Davie B.....e-mail the pictures to Radia Cumbria and see if there is any response. These idiots need prosecuting. Dave from Dave & Edith Browns walking diary

Interesting photos, not a pretty sight But should we be naming names and passing judgement on here? Just a word of caution if anyone knows any of them and is thinking of doing that. It may look fairly obvious who is doing what but spare a thought for the innocent passer by who may have found it difficult to say No, when someone took their hand.

The BBC might like to think it has sweeping legal powers in this country, since it continually criminalises innocent people, but in fact, it has no legal right to do so. If a crime has been committed at Castlerigg, it is actually the POLICE you should be contacting, not the BBC. The BBC have committed more crimes than those folk at Castlerigg.

Good point. I'd assumed CB had already passed the photies on to the proper authorities.

 Pics are from 2006.
Still the purple bint is in with a chance of winning "annoying new age smile of the year"

Only mentioned the BBC Radio Cumbria to give it publicity Paddy, of course the police are the one to bring the numpties to justice.
BTW.....Are the BBC still pursuing you for a liscence Regards, Dave

Can't be Pagans - no one set of dreadlocks in sight
Piggin' tourists stike again?

 |
What crime or offence have these people committed? In CB's pictures I can see no sign of damage to the site. <>Surely they are no more than harmless loonies who regularly celebrate midsummer's day? I've seen them in previous years at Castlerigg and they strike me as inoffensive if mildly deranged.

It's the removal of the turf and according to the post accompanying the second photo, lighting of a fire which constitutes the damage, Hugh. I'd have no problem with anyone using ancient sites for ceremonies as long as it didn't interfere with other people's enjoyment and as long as they left no trace.

Dave - the BBC have had the Police set on them and they're banned from my property. They've also had a heap of lies thrown back into their faces, and their faces rubbed into it for good measure. Whenever they've spewed up excuses for criminalising innocent people, they've been made, like a dog feeding on its own vomit, to swallow said vomit for their trouble. They're currently doing what they do best, existing in a state of denial, hiding under their desks with their heads buried in the sand, like the lying, slimy cowards they really are. Does that answer the question?

I can never think of 'them' as Auntie again

Apologies!
I failed to see the captions. I agree that digging up the turf and lighting a fire is disgraceful behaviour.

MoS - I show considerable restraint when I post stuff about the BBC on this site. The real venom is reserved for my private communications with them! The BBC are forbidden to waste revenue, but the amount of revenue they've wasted trying to criminalise the innocent is simply staggering. In my case, I've never paid so much as a penny into the system, nor will I ever pay a penny into the system. On the contrary, they have paid me money for breaking the law of this country on my doorstep, and further to that, they have wasted a HUGE amount of revenue dealing with me, and by the time I am finished dealing with them, I fully expect to be able to lose them a whole lot more!

Oh yeah 2008 - read that side-link wrong

Emphatically so Paddy....emphatically so.

 I like Radio 3 though.

I've nothing against anyone calling the BBC 'Auntie Beeb' by the way. So long as the 'Aunty' is like Myra Hindley or Rose West!

 lol, Paddy.
