Offroad Shoes I suppose I am young at 32 but we'll have this conversation in six months when the actual disaster is happening or about too, its only the beginning at the moment and it is going to happen! Isn't there the tiniest suspicion that there might be a global dimension to our growing economic problems? Parochial thinking at such a time as this can be very damaging, we could even end up with David Cameron at number 10 as a consequence. Now that would be a disaster!

I quite like the BBC comedy like Have I got news for you, but you cannot top their best comedy show can you Mal? You know the one - Casualty!
<pulls up a chair to watch the fun> On the BBC?
And on here; it's better than the telly!
You know the one - Casualty! LOL!
Nothing is perfect and certainly not the BBC. But it is dammn good and far and away above what others have.
ARGGGGGGH DON'T Mal, I have been eating cheese!
Us old gits remember the Milk Snatcher. Gods, I still get goosebumps just thinking about that bloody harridan. I have a book called 'Thatcher's Britain: A guide to the ruins." Says it all really. Believe me, we have a long way to go before it gets that bad!
Tony, just don't get me started! Not just a comedy but a farce. That awful parody is responsible for quite a lot of the shite we get thrown at us by educationally challenged weebles whose "knowledge" of their rights comes straight from that crap.

Not a Thatcher follower but there was undoubtedly leadership during that time.
You think our TV is bad? On a holiday in the US a few years ago I found their television can be quite interesting Edited to add: Thatcher's cardinal sin was in failing to support the comunities she devastated with her policies.

Not a Thatcher follower but there was undoubtedly leadership during that time. Not a Hitler follower, but there was udoubtedly leadership during that time. OK, she wasn't a Hitler, but same principle applies
CB not to denegrate your post but MT and Hitler??!!! I know whose leadership/regime I would perfer although as stated - nobody is perfect.
cdju, now I am getting worried about you! You didn't see the stormtroopers that darling Maggie sent in obviously!
 Nice point BTW Bill!
cdju - might be worth reading what I actually said. Like this bit "OK, she wasn't a Hitler, but same principle applies"
Just because there was leadership doesn't mean it is good.
 Like Gordon now you mean?

I do wish that whoever told him to smile would simply go & throw him/herself off a cliff. Brown doesn't do smiling very well. It isn't something that he does naturally, so it is always forced, & it shows.
 It's not smiling, it's wind!
Oh come on Paddy set the record straight mate - we all know you've got a TV hidden in the larder. How else would you catch up with the Cameron McNeish programmes to plan where you're going next?
