Thanks to the stupid staff at the O Vault in York who didn't even understand their own promotion, I managed to get two pairs of Oakleys for the price of one! I've got a pair of Fives 3.0, with polarized lenses that I paid £90 for, and got a free pair of Halos, which although discontinued, had a RRP of £170. I advertised the Halos on here but nobody took me up on the deal so I ended up giving them to my mum.

I've dropped nearly $650 on prescription Oakleys in the last couple of weeks.

A pair of Evades with anti-reflective lenses and polarized Black Iridium lenses for my X-Metal XX's

The sunglass lenses were $255 and the regular glasses $390. The Evade frames are $320 on their own but I get them half price with my vision insurance plan. Sadly the same doesn't apply for Oakley lenses. Apparently part of the deal that retailers make with Oakley is that they won't discount their lenses so even the staff pay full price!

Maybe im wrong but it looks suspiciously like she's advertising for a sunglasses website if you see the other post she's made today.

I've now received both pairs of glasses from Oakley and the quality of the lenses is incredible. Everything is razor sharp even at the very edge of my vision and it's actually a little disconcerting at first!

I am impressed enough that I will never but non-Oakley lenses again!

Oakley are expensive prescription lenses start at around 190 then you buy the frames on top.I have had 7 pairs both prescription and non(wear contacts) and they are by far the best glasses i have owned. At the moment i wear precsrition half jackets but also have Juliets and polarized square wire. I am lucky as i have insurance which has paid for all my glasses so price is really no object. But like others have said you only get one pair of eyes and is 2-300 quid really too much to pay to look after them.

Amen to that. Prescription Half Jacket XLJs with the transition lens have transformed my cycling.

As an ex cyclist i have no need for a pair of Gold framed Irridium eye jackets that i've never worn. I just never felt cool enough

Anyone like to PM me an offer?

Hi, I stupidly managed to lose my husbands much loved Oakley Straight Jackets (Old Style) Blue/Black Iridium in the sea in Cancun and he has not forgiven me.  I ahve been searching everywhere for these sunglasses but cannot get anywhere, does anyone have any ideas or maybe have a pair that they no longer want and would like to sell - if in good condition of course?

Great sunglasses and superb customer care. Well worth paying the extra for IMO.

However their goggles are nowhere near as good as offerings by Smith, Uvex etc. Prone to fogging and very over-priced.

i have a pair of Ray Bans and wouldn't swap them for all the Oakleys in sunglass hut (unless to sell them)...... i don't like the way Oakleys clamp to your head..... but that's just me .......that and the fact that some Oakleys are just plain hideous
