I've not had any responses from any of you with regards to who wants to go scrambling on which day... Iain, sorry for the late reply, been away. I would prefer to be on Sun, as I'm also hoping to do the photo stuff with Steve on Sat PM. Cash on the day or in advance whichever you prefer. No gear required for me. Cheers!

Hi Richard G. I'll stick your name against the sunday then, so for the rest of you - that leaves only two places on the sunday, so can you all think about which day you want to go scrambling on and let me know. Cheers Iain
Prefer Saturday I think for us two but not overly worried if it's Sunday
Hi Kelvin. Again, that's ok with me so we'll stick with that. Now we just need to hear from another three people! Regards Iain

re: scrambling, I would be ok with either day but I believe I'm on the reserve list in case anyone should drop out. I would need the gear too as I've never done anything with ropes before. Probably all academic but you never know, someone may drop out...
Hi Peakbagger. Well, at the moment, I'm not sure whether or not you are, actually, on the reserve list as I've not heard anything from any of the other three at this point. I'll be bringing several spares sets of helmets/harnesses anyway - so keep your fingers crossed Iain

Hi folks. I've been watching this thread awaiting replies from the other interested parties with regards to Scrambling and there is nothing happening, so this is what I've decided. I would like payment upfront for the scrambling courses. If we get four takers (two per day) then the scrambling days will still go ahead albeit at the increased price of £75.00 per head. If we get six takers all paying upfront the price drops to the initially quoted £60 per head. Less than four takers - the scrambling days will be cancelled. I've already pm'd some of the interested persons. Peakbagger - you need to pm me with your email address if you definitely want in cos I'm unable to pm you for some reason. Can people seriously interested in partaking in scrambling please deposit the fee where indicated by the end of this month at the latest - thanks. Regards Iain

Mrs Sean and I did a scrambling course in the Lakes with Iain last weekend. We've also done winter skills with him. He's a fantastic instructor and a good crack to boot, so if you're serious about learning the necessary skills to safely tackle all grades of routes, get your money in! Excellent value for money
Ditto to Se@n's comments about Iain's extremely good value for money guiding. Unfortunately I'm working the weekend of this meet so have to miss this one. So for those swithering about whether to sign up for the scrambling just go for it - you'll thoroughly enjoy it
And another endorsement - I've done winter skills, Skye, and 2 days individual scrambling ropework/protection tuition with Iain, all great stuff and good value. This really is an excellent opportunity. I'd do it myself if I hadn't already!
I'd be doing it if I wasn't taking my elderly mama to Ireland for her annual holiday. Doing the scrambling course, that is... as I'd fully expect it to be as good as the Winter Skills course

For those interested in joining a photography workshop, I have in mind 6.00pm - 10.00pm (at least) on the Saturday to take adavantage of the evening light. The workshop will cover equipment choices, a location shoot, workflow file handling, editing and photoshop techniques. Please bring your cameras, tripod etc. Feel free to bring prints or digital files (jpeg 25mb max) for critique and help with editing and post-production work. The cost for the workshop is £15. I need a group of 10 people to cover my costs for the photography workshop to run. Please pm me with your mobile or landline number by Sunday 28th June. I will call on Monday 29th June to take payment by credit/debit card. Thanks.

Can we find a fit blonde with a biggish nose for that last scrambling spot please? Oh yeh... and female
Who would that be then?
I'm more grey than blond coming along with Richard G. for the Sunday scramble. Bringing Boots, harness, helmet and some experience. Do I need to bring anything else?

Sounds like a good start - bring a decent sized rucsac - at least 40 litres because as well as your own kit there's a good chance you'll be carrying some other stuff such as a rope or part of a rack. Other than that, bring the usuals for a day on a welsh mountain - subject to forecast of course. On that note, can all of you please make sure you bring a medium sized sack with you. 60L is OTT but anything less than 35L is unlikely to be big enough . We are still looking for one taker for the remaining place - anyone out there??
