When you arrive let them know you're with OM and you'll be directed to the 2nd field (nearest the toilet block). I should be there around midday Friday and I'll stick some Nepalese prayer flags up to help people identify where we are. I'll also have an Outdoorsmagic T shirt on Friday. HTH

I was thinking of bringing a large tent for communal use in the evenings, any thoughts?
good idea, although we could all just linger around the pub! Richard and myself are expecting to arrive early evening so will make ourselves known. I look nothing like my picture!!
I'm planning to get there mid-morning with the plan being to go for an afternoon walk. I'm thinking of ascending Snowdon by the Rhyd Ddu path and descending by the Ranger path, probably setting off around midday. If anyone else is at the site that early and would like to join me then you'd be more than welcome. Mike.

Leaving about 11 so should be there about 2/3ish. Also fancy a stroll about - anything near the site?

Well, I’ll be bloxed… this is a picture of me today! Yes, I have the pox! So, unless you all want it too, it looks like I won’t be joining you this weekend after all. And Darren was coming along to help me out by making up the numbers on the scrambling, so I don't think he’ll be joining you either now. All squared away with Iain though, so no issue with scrambling on Saturday. Have a good weekend all, it’ll be a heck of a lot better than mine.... Oh, and apologies for interupting your tea with that picture, not a pretty site at the best of times...

 Get well soon. RG

Mate - that's harsh! Hope it's not itching tooo much
I should also be there around 2ish and wouldn't mind a wander in the afternoon too! Bummer about the pox Richard!
I think he's just trying to look more like his llamma picture!! The campsite were really good and have tied over our booking for 24 months So it looks like I'll have to get Richard there some other time. Sorry to miss you all - hope to get involved in the next meet, have a great time

Ouch Richard! Hope you recover soon. Kelvin/Simong: If you're both up for a walk in the afternoon then I'll hold on for you guys to arrive. Plenty of route options in the area, what sort of distance would you guys prefer?

Myself and Mart don't mind as long as it's no more than say 2/3hrs? Been hellish at work lately (80hr weeks) and I'm looking more forward to the beer and a sit down 2moz than anything else! Gonna get to his at 10.30am and just gotta put my stuff in his motor, so hoping it will be about 2pm.

I'm happy to go with the flow PB but a couple of hours followed by a pint or two sounds grand!

Not exactly super this supermeet is it lol ! I'm busy tomorrow but will pop over tomorrow evening for drinks etc and will come on the hill Sunday if anyone wants me lol weather is awesome tonight in North Wales
I don't know I thought it was pretty super! Not sure we caught the awesome weather though, especially on Saturday!
No the weather was pretty naff saturday but it was much better at Matt's on Sunday - dead hot! And you could look across the Menai Straits to Snowdonia where it was still clearly raining
We had a potter up Mynydd Mawr on Sunday and it was dry as the bar after Dave had finished with it on Saturday! Could see rain out to sea but we were fine. Anyways, thanks a lot everyone for the good company, it's always good to get out there with like-minded individuals. Despite, bad traffic, a noisier campsite than most festivals, rain and a pub with prices to put most of London to shame... Martyn and I had a bloomin' great weekend. For anyone wanting to learn more about scrambling, climbing and ropes, think about using Iain. I was concerned about the knots and stuff having never been a scout BUT all of us came away able to tie in a rope to a harness, protect each other and far more confident than we started. Martyn even decided he'd be going up Crib Goch again after being terrified 15 years ago and saying he'd never scramble again. When winter comes I'll have no hesitation in doing a winter skills course with Iain. Cheers mate. ps Morning! Just brushed my teeth.

What a great weekend this was. It was good to meet you guys and despite the noisey cretins on the campsite and the rain on Saturday I really enjoyed this meet. I would like to extend a special thank you to Iain and Kirsten for the scrambling course on Saturday. I learned a great deal that day that I will be putting to use in the near future. If anyone is looking to do an outdoor course then I can't recommend Iain enough, professional and a damn nice guy to boot! Hope to see you guys again in the future.

I have to agree with the above comments about having a great weekend and meeting fellow OMers. I didn't do the scramling but after listening to the others look forward to the winter skills course with Iain if it goes ahead. I spent a day on Snowdon in lovely, typical walking weather....strong winds, horizontal rain, hail and visibilty down to 20yds but it was still fun. At least we weren't wearing a theme park poncho hey Simon. Whilst it was very early, 5.30am, it was fun to watch the group next to us f ing and blinding trying to put a garden gazebo up....it took them over an hour and it had blown down when we got back from Snowdon Thanks to Dave I now have a taste for whisky but can't afford it

Blah, blah, blah Fenwick but remind me how much was that last round? Concur with all previous comments and would like to thank Dave for his efforts arranging it all (as well a impromptu workshop on navigating your way from the pub back to your tent). Weather meant the camera spent most of the time in the bag but the few pics I did take can be found in my gallery.
