MW -Off to china again?

No, I'm now in Beijing, killing time before flying back to the UK tonight. Xinjiang is no longer a good place to be and, having been bitten by a potentially rabid dog in Tibet a couple of weeks ago, this seems like a good time to pop back.

I'm intending converting a GoLite groundsheet, as I'm unable to conceive of using one without some kind of bathtub configuration. I'll probably go for a diagonal cut, slicing off two of the corners. If anyone wants the offcuts, let me know.

I guess it must be  have different atmosphere since the riots brought things to a head

hope the dog bite isn't a bad one.

Re the full groundsheet - I think Bob C originally tried one where he cut a  line from the door towards the centre, and finished the cut edges- then he could roll it back for a cooking/wet gear space, or keep it full for more dry space.

Yeah, there were good reasons for staying there, but when the police start actively stopping you from going into the hills, it's time to leave.

Does the 2009 SL3 really need to be seam sealed? If any rain gets through the seams would it not just run down the inside in the same way that condensation would/does?

Peter there is a clue is in the last 2 words of this thread's subtitle

The weight of a full size fabric inner won't be much difference from the mesh inner - about a kilo hald inners should weigh - just over half of that...

My Hex outer weighs 680g....

joyohh joy nearly finished my shift pattern. and have found that the inner from my atko fits perfectly into shangri-la two bits off 2 mm bunge cord on tabs on inside off outer allow you to fasten onto top two clips off atko inner. 4 or 5 pegs to hold shape perfect ..well pole is in middle off door but otherwise made for the job .have weight somewhere will try and find it again
