Hi folks,

Is the Wild Camp still going ahead, just need to figure out if I need to bring grub with me.

Are there shops neaby where decent ready meals can be bought, or would I be better off picking stuff up in Glasgow on the way from the Airport.

Cheers,

Stephen

Not sure about the wild camping Stephen. I've just emailed ptc to see if he has any plans but I suspect it will be a last minute, weather dependent decision!  As for ready meals you would get them in Fort William but if you are getting the coach that doesn't really suit so Glasgow might be your best bet - there's a Tiso in the city centre.

good stuff AT.

I will call in on the way to the Coach or pick some Look what we found meals (yummy) in Tescos.

I will have my camping gear with me anyway  so its not bother if their is a wild Camp planned last minute.

Do you know if thier is somewhere local in Glencoe where I can get Sambos and the like for the day hikes.

See you next Friday

We could wild camp up the hill opposite the Clachaig at the flat site where Hagrids Hut was on Harry Potter?

There is a Spar on the main road through the village at Glencoeand the Clachaig does packed lunches at a good price too!

Err, I hesitate to ask but what are Sambos?

Sambos = sandwiches? I hope so anyway!

Harry Potter sounds good to me... daughter loves the books and films, a tale she might actually listen to

Hi AT,

Sambos are indeed to humble sandwich as Jamie pointed out.

Cheers,

Stephen

Not exactly very discreet, is it? What was that 'leave no trace' stuff?!

Hi At,

If I am successful in finding some "Look what we found" meals in Glasgow I might even go as far as bring one of those for my lunch and wizz it up on the trusty pocket rocket and the Sandwich will get relegated.

that photo above looks to me like a new traveller holiday resort

Hi Kate,

Did you see my post about the 3 Ireland Wild camps.

Cheers,

I did, Stephen. Unfortunately I'm busy the first 2 weekends, and that last one is our Heineken cup tie against those evil cheating Harlequins, so I must go to that. It'd be good to get over to the Reeks sometime though - I've done several walks in them now and love the place!

The locals had a few parties in it.

Nowt wrong with a few Pumpkins here and there!

Talking of sport and meets, I will be up for anything on the Saturday and want to do the Aonach Eagach or Bidean Nam Bian or something like that. The Sunday for me will be a case of getting up and either trying to see off a hang over or climbing up and down the Pap in time for the Manchester Derby on the telly in a pub with Sky.

If i do make it, a spot of scrambling will do me on the Saturday. I'm not up for a big day out at the moment.
