Presumably the National Trust site up at the end of Great Langdale - it's certainly the one within staggering distance of the pub(s). For previous meets we've always headed up to the far end, the opposite end of the site to reception, and tried to pitch on the grassy area by the last bit of parking (also closest to the gate for walking to the ODG ). Oh, and don't mention OM or anything about a meet if you book (shouldn't need to) or when you arrive, or they'll want to put us all on the 'Group' field, after ticking us off for not pre-booking as a group. We're just a bunch of individuals who turn up to the site and happen to bump into mates and make plans together.... ok?

PT - I was waiting for Matt to erase his comments... part time spy he is
Umm, if I erase it, other folk won't get the secret message... I suggest we all change our names beforehand - that way they won't be able to pin anything on us
I always wanted to be called Mark - so best call me Cornelius, no one will ever guess that. I could be looking for ancestors in the Lakes. This is easy.

So, I ain't been to this part of the Lakes before - what's to do? I have a 'new' book I purchased from e-bay that has a route from Langdale. It takes you over Rossett Gill, to Esk Hause, over Ill Crags and Broad Crags to Scafell Pikes. We could then continue to Borrowdale or Wasdale. Once we get there I don't know where else we could go to contine the walk... Oh, BTW Posh is that lift from London still on offer? Mike
Hummmmm, finish night shift at 0645 on Sat morning in Bucks. 4 hours to the Lakes, 1 hour through the lakes. On hills by noon! One and a half days walking, then continue on to Newcastle. Sounds Plannish!! PS. Am in wasdale this weekend, Mosedale round on Sat, Scafell via Piers Gill (path not gill) on Sunday. Anyone interested in joining the Missus and I is more than welcome.
