That's a pity Stephen (not being able to make the meet that is!) but good news on the job front.  Still Belgium based?

Hi Kelvin,

Nice one mate, no fit PA or expense account but still keeping an eye out for the company bike.

Hi AT,

Still base in Belgium alright, its a shame I cant get over for the meet but as soon as I have enough holidays built up I will definitely get over.

Cheers,

Stephen

Sorry you can't come, Stephen, I was hoping to talk Irish hills with you!

On the other matter, ironically today I had a graduate seminar which included some stuff on how to critique the work, opinions and ideas of others without resorting to vitriol   The kind of situation where you politely and effectively demolish someone's research paper, then go down the pub with them for a friendly drink.

Hi Kate,

Its a bit of a pain I can't get over but I would have to take two days off work if I wanted to make it for the weekend as the flights aren't at great times and its too far a drive.

It would have been great to talk about the Irish hills with you at the meet but I will definitely make it to Wales before Xmas as  Brussels to Cardiff is a six and a half hour drive if I use the Channel tunnel car service and would only have to take one day off.

I always think the pub is great leveller

Be good
