HH baselayer packs (long sleeve pants and shirts) 19.99 rrp 50

Is that the real RRP or what was on the tag?

Show/hide user stats

NPC,

That looks about right for the RRP of HH longsleeve & longjohns; the shirts are usually around 28 and the pants are around 24 so £50 for a combination pack seems correct. £20 for both sounds a bargain.

Make sure you know which fabric they are though... Helly do at least three versions of LIFA and the names have changed. There was the original LIFA, the Sport Weight LIFA (with the more open weave), the ProWool LIFA with around 40% Merino and LIFA Versa which used a polypropylene & polyester directional weave. These became COOL, DRY and WARM : COOL being LIFA Versa; DRY being Sport Weight and WARM being ProWool. The original LIFA is still available in their workwear range I think.

They are all good in their way, but make sure you know what you might be buying as their properties are quite different (ask me if necessary as I've tried them all!)

Actually saw a Patagucci jacket in the Colchester branch, a bright yellow thing in small.

Show/hide user stats

oh there was some patagonia stuff in farnborough too.  not much - few odds and ends.  a jacket that looked really non- outdoorsy - is it Harrington jackets the really simply cut mod-style jacket?

it was a bit like that.  think there may have been a shell too.

TBH do nt know much about them - and they dont move me in the same way (i presume patgucci is a nickname????)

hhmmm

appears i was getting confused between paramo and patagonia.  just checked their website.   likey likey.

TK Maxx Wrexham: Patagonia Figure 8 Jacket - £40, seems a stange design (slim cut almost going out jacket) , not quite sure what you'd use it for, was in the ski jacket section.

Dundee had Patagonia merino baselayers. Grabbed myself a Cloudveil l.s. t-shirt thingy.

East Kilbride, Kingsgate retail park.

Got a pair of Trekmates Chamonix Medium for £15. There was another pair of Gtex gloves but I didnt recognise the manufacturer, they also had primaloft insulation in em so they cant be too bad.

Seen the Newbalance shoes in Swansea Morfa but not my size

Blast: for once, Reading is letting me down; no Patagonia and certainly no Cloudveil... My sis has seen Patagonia stuff in Bournemouth, though...

BH W Vitesse III XCR jkt 8 £99 rrp £230

Simon, the NB shoes I've seen have been women's (WW, as opposed to MW). Of course, I'm sure there are a variety of styles doing the rounds.

Which store had these?
Show/hide user stats
A combination of Reading, Basingstoke & Bournemouth.

As is often the way with this thread, it's really a 'heads up' to the sort of things that may be available in many branches of TKM, and thus worth checking your local branch for; the Cloudveil and Pata stuff not seen in Reading this time.

Price reductions are often carried out 'globally', as directed by head office (there's also a timetable and reducation scale they follow; I know, because I spotted the 'discount bible' on the customer service desk once...)

Which item were you interested in? I could check my notes.

TK Maxx Dundee:

Berghaus Big Wall Shield Pant, Size large, £129

Berghaus Big Wall Musashi Soft Shell Jacket, Most sizes, £129

Berghaus Big Wall Primaloft Jacket, looks like a thinner version of the asylum belay parka, £129

Quite a few salomon shoes, some rossignol C2 boots etc...

Looks like most of the skiing stuff has gone, the shop is quite empty so they must be changing most of the stock over.
