Nothing worth a mention really in both Nottingham stores, all spray away and craghoppers usual stuff. The main one had some Lowe alpine stuff but was priced very high!

Forgive me for coming very late to the party but how does this shop work then?

All their stores sell different stuff?

Do they all do outdoor gear?

In other words is there any point in telling me mum to go and look for that £29 PowerShield hooded jacket in the Liverpool TJ Maxx?

Its a massive store of all sorts of clothing sold at mostly good prices. Colours and sizes vary and you have to search for clothes, a can of redbull helps before you enter!

They say they have deliveries every day, but Im not convinced. I pop in now and then and see if they have something. I picked up a good pair of berghaus trousers for £15 a few months back.

Happy hunting

As I understand it, they buy up old stock / bankrupt stock / test stock / anything really, and flog it on at lower prices than you'd normally pay on the high street (or through the internet either).

In my experience there's a lot of variation in the stuff that gets into the different stores - the Cardiff and Llantrisant stores, which I sometimes visit, can have quite different stuff, but you can always guarantee they get ski stuff in in the autumn!

Most of them seem to have some outdoors gear. I've picked up some excellent bargains there including a LA Foraker jacket for about £65. It's a bit hit and miss though!

er... I dunno, how much does your mum love you?

So it sounds like each store buys it's own stuff rather than say all of them getting a load of 66 NW gear at once.

I hadn't seen it in those terms Kate! I suppose I'll find out...

Outdoor Scene W Eclipse softshell jkt £17, various sizes, colours
this uses a rather nice fabric with decent face and microgrid waffle polyester inner
rather non-technical cut, but looked decently made.

Good for craghopper trousers, got the lined version for £19.99 and the summer ones for £16.

Not found them that cheap anywhere else and always seem to have them.

Just back from TK Maxx in Dublin, great bargain on a trek mates storm shelter and a 1 person mosquito net which will be used if needed for tarping.

No point in showing the euro price as I'm probably still having my pants dropped compared to the sterling but it's a bargain to me
