Just got back from my local TKMaxx (Telford store) and it was very disappointing on the Patagucci front.
Either it has been ravaged by canny bargain hunters already or it's not had anything decent in. What about your local store? Has it got any decent gear hidden away with the usual bright yellow and purple shirts and check red/green/orange golf shorts?

I try and stay away from the sales, otherwise I come back with lots of BRIGHT coloured kit that I never need!
And lots of BRIGHT coloured kit that you do need Lol. I bought a carrier for my nipper today so i've no excuse not to take them away now !!

TK Maxx in Huddersfield had a smattering of Patagonia Supercell jackets, plus a couple of beautiful women's Regulator softshell tops, though still at 90 quid.
top notch soft shell in wrexham. cnt remeber the model but its the soft strechy1 with fleecy inside n crotch strap. yum. still £120 tho
The one in Aberdeen had a Patagonia ... thing... made of dayglo green fur. Made you look like one of those sloths with moss growing in their fur.
£90 for a sloth dress-up costume? Bonkers. For that kind of money I'd expect a crotch strap!

AN R4 windblock for £70 A Storm Jacket for £90 A Supercell Jacket for £47.50

Actually Patagonia, like Stella Artois is reassuringly expensive. If it get's cheap and everyone wears it they will no longer have the kudos they once had.
 Totally agree Hayley.
(I say the same about Ciro Cittero Jeans.)

Alex, John is insisting that I tell you that the postings above were actually made by him. He doesn't want me taking credit for sensible statements :-)

 lol.
I sort of guessed he'd have a hand in saying something about expensive gear being good...
Alex.....u r from Telford?, that explains the photo! personally i love to find bargains in "posh town" charity shops......you wouldn't believe what some buy and never wear.............hmmmmm wonder where PAC lives?

The new Kidderminster branch of TKMax has some Patagonia jackets. I'm very pleased with my £33 Regulator jacket. In black/grey it was probably overlooked by most shoppers. Then today I bought some grey Craghoppers zip-off anti-mosquito trousers for £11 against rrp of £50. So I'm a happy shopper. AND - - Oswald Bailey have just opened a new store in town and have some much reduced Brasher goretex fabric boots.
Oswald Bailey are ok, my local within walking distance one is in Kings Heath and I've had lots of little things from there over the years.
THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN! 1. Find Patagonia jacket reduced from £170 to £33, persuade girlfriend it fits her too and is just what she needs. 2. Hence she pays for it. 3. Borrow it, more or less permanently.

mine (glasgow) has loads of patagonia soft shell stuff(30 - 50 quid), karrimor fleeces(12 quid), lowe alpine crossbow bags (20 quid) and a rather splendid pair of bright yellow saloman raid wind trainers for 20 quid. well, not any more...
i did see a pair of saloman pro-thermic boots in there for 40 quid but didn't know anyone with size 13 feet.
Do they have a clue as to what they are selling???
Well Alix, it's a question of supply and demand.
The average TK Maxx shopper is lookin' out for reduced F*CK and Elle T-shirts and 'designer' jeans and lurex glittery stuff. They don't buy much hardcore stuff, hence the cheap prices.
hence the happy OMers :)
