At the CHARLTON one at the moment they have two pairs of leather Karrimor boots, a fair few Lowe Alpine jackets including one medium in eVent at £67 (brick red and gray I think), a few Sprayway jackets and quite a few pairs of Craghoppers trousers.
Sorry I didn't note down more detail.
PS with threads this size, would it be worth doing monthly ones. Eg. "TK Maxx Watch March 2006" ???

CANTERBURY has a couple of men's evEnt pull ons (both medium) in Ming blue at £67, odd Sprayway jackets in Gore-Tex and non-Goretex, Berghaus Abaco trousers and short and long-sleeved shirts. For the traditionalist they had quite a few Drizabone coats in waxed cotton and proofed cotton. A few pairs of various Craghopper's trousers, along with the odd coat. Lots of Regatta coats and fleeces, and a few wicking baselayers at £9.99 that looked okay. Odd Sierra v-lite approach shoes and boots in some sizes from £19.99.
No time to look through the ladies stuff.
It was a bit like panning for gold in a very muddy, unpromising stream, but there were a few reasonable bits.
I keep thinking that the real bargains must have been snapped up before I get there. Does anyone know whether there is a day of the week when new stuff is delivered?

MANCHESTER (City centre) - A few Sprayway gore-tex shell for under £70, good for the majority of hill walkers. Lowe Alpine baselayers for about £10, lots of half-decent Lowe Alpine trousers and shorts for under £20.
No Patagucci however...
|
 |
LUNDY ISLAND - they have got Patagonia Supercell jackets for a tenner.
|
 |
ELGIN - Craghopper mens trousers, regatta winter mens trousers, Karrimor leather KSB boots, Teva sandals (large womens sizes), Hi Tec boots (various sizes and styles).
Some Goretex jackets have been in but they flew out the doors pretty quickly. (I know - I bought one)
Some Sprayway goretex stuff now coming in.
Some womens sports bras may also be of interest. Mainly 32C and 36B Shock Absorber.
|
 |
Lundy Island? Funny, that doesn't come up on TKM's list of stores...
|
 |
That's why the Supercells are so cheap: XXXXXSmall ones for the puffins. cheep cheep.
|
 |
Leeds has another delivery of Crumpler bags of all sizes. Unfort no camera-specific ones though. Most half price or less.
Some Berghaus wicking baselayers; male and female half price. Lots of zip-off troos for men, mostly, not all, Craghopper ones.

 CANTERBURY yesterday
Sprayway Down jackets (vivid green) £35 Berghaus Abaco trousers £13 (larger sizes only) Berghaus Howard Short Sleeved Shirts £15 Regatta X-ert Hydrotherm Baselayers £9.99
Various bits of Nike ACG, Craghoppers odds and ends, Hi-Tec boots and shoes.
Sportsworld next door had Karrimor Wind-proof jackets reduced to £14.99, but you'd have to be pretty desperate to want one - badly cut, cheap and nasty design and appalling stitching. Definitely 'new' karrimor.

Exeter may not be local for many, stock varies a lot from store to store but I was suprised at how much outdoor kit was in there yesterday - particularly for women. I can’t remember all the detail, but to give you an idea on things to look out for in the women’s section of your local branch -
Royal Robbins and Columbia shorts, capris, skirts and trousers Lowe Alpine long sleeve shirts (med) Berghaus long sleeve base layer and lots of short sleeved shirts Sprayway waterpfoofs (nothing special) Salomon shoe/sandal thingies in a range of sizes Teva (amphibious?) sandals £17, size 5 & 6 I think Hi tec boots - a few light weight design in various sizes.
Very little in the men’s but I did notice Barbour jackets and they have loads of golfing stuff just now.

Ooh, Ian! I was in the Southport store this evening and missed that altogether! Maybe I'll look again tomorrow :)

 NOTTINGHAM CENTRAL:
Some nice looking ACG, tended to be the more casual rather than technical stuff. A few Lowe Alpine baselayers for £15.
Nothing eye-catching, a large amount of hip-hop clothing.
