 Cruxterman says
"Kidderminster store has rossignol boots at £29:99 reduced from a MRRP of £119:00"
The same boots are on sale in York for £50 reduced from MRRP of £200 ! ! !
They obviously think the People of York can afford to pay more ;)
I have just got some North Face sunglasses for £19:00 and they are real nice (Basildon)
Brasher Yosemite casual (not hillwalking) boots. Goretex lined. £50 down from £100. And - beleive it or not - just what I was after.
Hounslow branch "giving Britain the best dressed asylum seekers." Is their proud and justified boast.

Good range of Raichle boots, not the heavyweight monoliths, at Edinburgh ,Straiton. Brasher walking shoes £29, some large sizes and large racks of "ski" jackets, (but where's the snow?)
Stevenage has a couple of Berghaus extreme pro primaloft/ pertex quantum jackets in bright orange for around £50. When I looked last weekend, they had sizes S & XL
Basildon branch -
Raichle 60 degrees 69.99
and for once a pair of Raichle boots fit me, when I don't bloody need any!
The Talbot Green branch had some Montane featherlights in the bigger sizes for £12.99 - That's less than I paid for one on a staff deal direct from Montane!
.jpg) Burnley store has Trekmates waterproof gortex gloves at £25 reduced from £50, if you go to the Trekmates site they recommend a retail price of £29.99 perhaps all is not what it seems at TkMaxx.

This morning was spent rummaging through the bargain-rails at TKMaxx Nuneaton. Listed here are the items that caught my eye: Keela Belay Jackets - Primaloft insulation, Cranberry or Ice Blue, S, M, L, £39.99, I'll probably get one of these when they drop below £20. Lowe Alpine Dryflo baselayers - crew-neck short-sleeve tee, navy, various sizes, £9.99 Helly Hansen Fox Down Vest - no idea about the fill-rating, not a lightweight item but looks robust with plenty of pockets inside and good handwarmers outside. Green with red panels, M, S, £29.99 Salomon Ortholite Softshell Shoes - grey, seamless, various sizes, £29.99 Raichle Goretex XCR Shoes - weird orange/grey/black things with a zipped sleeve around the ankle, various sizes, £39.99 KSB Orkney Leather Boots - tan, various sizes, £49.99 If you're remotely interested, there are some low-res phonepics of these items on my TKMaxx blog

TK Maxx blog! Fantastic! I must get around to this blogging malarkey...
(I have been known to take photos in TKM too...)
I'm quite taken with the Belay jacket; good fit, nice sleeves and cuffs (well, they're a simple, uninsulated, vecro strap-only and no elastic style, which I prefer), micropile lined pockets, high collar. Seems well made. Niggles: low pockets and no double-ended zip (not good for real belaying), zip baffle snags; should have tape or other means to keep fabric out of slider).

Chill, Drew, and hang on to your dosh. There's only one legendary figure in the TKMaxx Hall of Fame, and he leans on 2 sticks. We all bow or cower in his presence. Hail CP!
