So what else should i carry then Lee, if i need to add another 5kg to stop suffering?

Lee Robert wrote (see) lol at 5kg of whisky, you wouldn't even feel the weight not once you're carrying it in your stomach anyway...

The old bailey, 1976, burning English holiday homes. A well known case.

5kg of single malt, perhaps That's just greed. A bottle is enough.
Decanted into a lightweight platy of course. My soul has suffered enough Kate.
mike, is a plat ok for whisky, does it taint it?

I've just seen this - I've definitely heard that one before! You may have seen me in one of my... media appearances, and not the News from 1976! I'm afraid I don't recognise you from your little picture
Weevil, are you worried about the whisky tainting the platy, or the platy tainting the whisky?
my only interest in the platy, is that it spoils the flavour, or equally bad, dissolves, pouring best malt over my spare dry clothes
I've carried whisky in platys and plastic mineral water bottles without any problems Weevil. Only single malt of course.
Absolutely - I had two Platy 'Little Nippers' of Balvenie Doublewood with me in norway last week and it was fine, no taint and no leakage. I did once leave some Highland park in a small Nalgene bottle for a few weeks between trips and there was a definite taint when I came back to it
Did you throw the 'tainted' whisky away Matt?
What do you think, Mike? I am a Yorkshireman
well, I could tell you are niether Irish nor Scottish.... leaving the dram for a few weeks...in a plastic bottle...shame on you
He could have been Irish, Simon, and trying to improve the flavour.
Or from the lowlands or Wales. Anyone tried Swedish version of whiskey?
am i getting this right? platy = fine for schtch nalgene = potentially dubious please confirm as it's a vital quality of life issue
i have the nalgene hip flask-no taint and little measurements on the side so you can measure how drunk you are
