John - I have a Lightwave T2 Arctic and echo everything that's been said about them. They're possibly the best 2 man 4 season lightweight tent available. Perhaps there's no reviews of them because we all love them so much we're out using them instead of sat at the PC writing about them.

Thanks for all your input. Because so many of you have recommended Lightwave I'm going to check out a G2Trek tomorrow. I phoned Lightwave to get my nearest stockist to be told that a new dealer of theirs opens for the first time tomorrow. Just might be in with a chance of a good deal.
I'll keep you posted of the outcome.

Thanks again.

Disaster. Went to the opening of the new shop in Newcastle upon tyne.
On my entry into this shiny new establishment I was greeted by a very enthusiastic member of staff. He enquired if he could assist me and I eagerly told him I was looking for a Lightwave tent. He led me to the tent area and proudly pointed to all the tents racked on the wall and told me all these were lightweight. NO, no says I, I want a Lightwave tent, it is lightweight but it's manufactured by LIGHTWAVE. This statement seemed to have him very confused, he kept looking at the rack then back at me, never uttering a word. The look on his face suggested that I had maybe grown horns or at the very least sprouted a third eye. He then went to get reinforcements, returned with a another employee who indeed confirmed that they were a Lightwave dealer but only had one tent from the Lightwave range and that was a one man tent.
Good I thought, I'm making some headway. Are you getting any G2 Teks in I enquired, indeed we are sir was the reply.
Can you tell me when? I'll check sir.
More progress, not as fast as I wanted but progress.
He returned to tell me he didn't know when they would be in and my request if they could phone Lightwave to find out when delivery would be was met with a blank look.
At that point I decided to call it a day.

Today I became the proud owner of a Terra Nova Solar2, bought it from Outdoorfocus.
Staff were very helpful, polite and very well informed about the products they sold.

I'm sure Lightwave products are very good, quite a few of you recommended them, but looking at other threads concerning their products I'm not the only one to have had problems. Ok mine were extreme to say the least but maybe Lightwave should take a long hard look at their dealer network, something is not right.

Actually, I had the same problem. I was looking for my Lightwave tent, and there were only a few dealers in London. I tried the climbing dept in Sefridges (Tiso?), who did have a couple of models, but didn't have a clue about them. I had to tell them about the tents! I eventually went to Field and Trek, in Baker Street, and the guy said "light weight tent?", thinking I was completely clueless. However, once that was that was sorted out, the service was excellent. The tent was very quickly put up for me to see, and the guy had some useful tips and so on. Sounded really clued up.

I got mine on the net from snow and rock, at half price I was willing to take the chance.
