Just browsing gadget and precious things sites when I saw this product. Only a fiver and apparently relieves and reduces itching and swelling by sending a small electric shock to the affected area. But does it work...?

Do you think it works for flea bites?

Or love bites?
Show/hide user stats
Not sure, I might buy one and take it to my local cinema to find out.

...for flea bites that is, although you never know your luck in the Odeon...

I have one of those. It's fun to play with and probably is better for bites as it gives you some relief without scratching. Quite expensive and definitely no substitute for anti-histamine cream.

I don't know what love bites are.

They're unsightly things that require you to grow a big white beard and wear a large hood to disguise them, right Gandalf? I think you can get them in Odeon cinemas when you're a teenager.

Matty - why do you need it in your local cinema, is it really that much of a flea pit?

Helen - Love bites - <you must know>, hickies, those orrible bruise like things you see on teenageers necks before they thankfully grow out of them in thier early 20's and turn in to normal human beings...

Finally.... Manuka Honey is great for bites of any kind, just dab a bit on then when you're feeling peckish, you can lick it off later...

Pretty much, yeah. Last time I went, me and the missus had bites on our ankles and shins. According to the girl who worked there, these were caused by 'midgets'...bizarre.
Never tried honey, sounds a lot more pleasant than electrocuting yourself.

Watch out! She's getting saucey again.

Has to be the Manuka kind tho. Fantastic stuff, use it on lots of things from bites and wounds to taost. Has it's own antiseptic and soothing abilities and tastes lovely.

Yes. Was going to say I was joking, but I think lying would be more accurate. Teenager.... I vaguely remember being one of them. It involved wearing lots of black clothes, rock music and Diamond White.

LOL!! Diamond White!! Had forgotten that stuff, why did we drink it??? Yergh! And the black clothes, oh yes. I actually don't think I owned anything else but black...

Anyone for Thunderbird wine or snakebite & black?
Show/hide user stats
What, you mean that phase is meant to end when you're not a teenager anymore? Nobody told me that.
Show/hide user stats
The drinking Diamond White ended a long time ago, if nothing else. After 7 or 8 bottles and the biggest hangover in the history of hangovers.

*ick*

Matty - OMG don't remind me.

Sorry Cath, had to be done. I was discussing this a while ago with an old mate of mine...
We couldn't work out why, instead of going to the 'offy' and buying a couple of bottles of wine or a few cans of beer or whatever, we'd always walk out clutching a bottle of Martini, Thunderbird wine and scrumpy in bottles shaped like hand-grenades!!

Can you still buy Mad Dog 20/20?
