 No No No!
Paramo Is the Destination of the truely enlighted! Call it a metaphorical Nivarna.
<Runs and ducks!>

Tried out me new Matrix jacket not imprest at all.
I'll soo be trying me new Vasco jacket though..

THe Vasco looks like a Velez but with arm vents - mind you those arm vents work very well.
The Vasco also has a full front zip and a back vent - so lots of venting options besides the arms. See Páramo product of the Month for full spec by clicking on the flashing newsflash at top right of this page.

Paramo is booming this year -- despite not yet having a retailer in central London (it's coming), sales are up 30 per cent, and I understand that's in a dpressed market. Word of mouth message seems to be gaining momentum ...... of course some retailers are more conservative than customers ..... but when they see others thriving through stocking Paramo, they begin to wake up ...
Tried it on in Mountain Factor yesterday, it has 4 venting options, the most significant being the back vent which from shoulder to shoulder..
As for colour..? it's going to be red for me.?
As for those who think Paramo is too heavy.?
The Vasco weighs in at only 700g.
Following all the evangelism here, I've recently kitted out the four of us in Paramo jackets and trousers, and my wife was actually enthusiastic about it following yet another wet and windy day in the Highlands this weekend. It was great not to be going in and out of the rucksacks like a yoyo and we also now have more space in them.
I'm now looking into replacing our summer paclites and microtherms, but am not yet convinced by what's on offer. I just need an excuse...

"As for those who think Paramo is too heavy.? The Vasco weighs in at only 700g."
That's more than twice as heavy as my waterproof lol
Sorry, not convinced for jackets at all...trousers for winter, yes, jackets, no.

I'm glad that Nick is making some progress in London. I was in Itchy Feet (Wardour St) a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that they had a Paramo catalogue in their catalogue box. We had quite a conversation about stocking the stuff - they did say that they thought they ought to look seriously at it. I tried my best!
By the way Nick, I had an exchange with one of your guys at Stewart Cunningham in Betwys last weekend. I suggested that what would be really useful would be something like Merapi trousers but that are zip offs, i.e. easily convert into shorts. He joked that they didn't like zips! Surely not. I really would like a pair of Merapi zip offs for next summer!

Don't tempt me about the vasco.
I don't need a vasco at the moment, but it would be a nice addition to the wardrobe.
No must buy one! No must buy one No must buy one

 Row,
I think you have problems. I understand there is this new Paramo programme at the Priory .....
Does this mean you go to the 'priory' and evangalise all day to like-minded individuals?
No you evil little Darren you. You have to spend 6 weeks walking around in Gore Tex XCR!
Ok so far i have resisted to buy a vasco. but only cause the local retailler doesn't stock it at the moment.
I picked mine up yesterday, took it to the Yorkshire dales,
All i can say is,sorted.?
In answer to the original thread title:
No, I still don't recommend Paramo. I thank you.
Otters don't need Páramo do they? They already have a directional fleece system to keep them dry ....
