Yes, good on the cyclists. I was watching it on the internet and a colleague came by to ask what I was squeaking about! Poor TBW, protect your teeth!!!

Oi, Matt, go and talk to tmm on the solo tent thread about SL Voyagers!
AT has just brought me some lunch Starting to get bored with watching the Olympics now also got dam all in the way of concentration and can't get comfy to read my book. I need a physio here NOW to sort this bloody back/shoulder out BTW YGM Kate
England are playing Scotland at cricket - sounds odd that! Anyway, Scotland aren't doing so well, which perhaps isn't much of a surprise. Last Olympics I had an infected insect bite on my leg and was on 2xanti-biotics and piriton. I spent 4 days on the sofa in a drugged daze vaguely watching stuff going on on telly. It was weird. <sends physio-vibes to TBW>
I've been and added my bit to that tent thread..... as instructed!
Oh poo, can't believe the UL Voyager's going to become a UUL Voyager just after I bought one!!
Ooh, and that post was message 66666 too. Hoorah!!
Aye looks like Nevis Sport are selling the Superlite Voyager for just £225 too! And they've got the Laser Comp at £165!
I think I got mine for £220 back in 2006.I haven't used my little SL Voyager for ages It would certainly be a laugh if we organised a wild camp with all of us turning up with SL Voyagers. You wouldn't want to get into the wrong tent during the night
We talked of this a few weeks ago the " Voyager Superlite Swingers Party! 2008 "
If AT came along, we could have TBW and AT, Matt and MoS, Nicky and Jamie, and me, in our 4 SL Voyagers, and play an interesting version of musical chairs!!
They sounds great, but is there really room for swinging anything in there? Unfortunately I don't have one I've just been trying to find out if there's any rock climbing in the Isle of Wight, so far have only found tree climbing, anyone know? oh - I think I've got a bit of Arborio rice stuck under my delete key, very annoying
There must be some good cliff climbs down there Burn! Wouldn't know meself, maybe that rock clinger Cath could tell you if she is around? Maybe music thermarests?
Thanks Jamie, I will ask Cath (to repeat whatever she told me last time I asked) I think it involved the words 'chalky pap'....
Musical thermarests sounds like a upmarket version of a whoopee cushion
Yeah, the Isle of Wight is chalky crap at the west end, and isn't there clay-y crap on the southern side - I seem to recall bad landslides round Blackgang Chine a few years ago? Why don't you zip over to Purbeck or Portland, Burn? Much better climbing there! And it's in my home county. I'm not playing musical thermarests with girly pink ones!!
I'm not playing musical thermarests with girly pink ones!! I've got a girlie pink thermarest but I may just borrow ptc* Big Agnes thing that we were playing with at Kinlochleven as it was much more fun I'm off to refill the hot water bottle and try to do some stretches to see if I can get this bloody back/shoulder/neck thing sorted - I think it's getting worse instead of better. Then again that may be because the drugs are wearing off
I'm sure that Big Agnes thing could lead to interesting results, if one's not incapacitated by hysterical laughter of course.
BTW, AT has his own SL Voyager (complete with flysheet patches )....... not that he's ever used it!
Ha! Is that you're cast-off? Jamie - maligned you unfairly, you did include your address in that other email. It's just the later ones that didn't get through. So probably some other person's been getting emails with your address in them!!

Well having done chores earlier including doing the washing up! I played pack the rucksac again - because I can. I now have sleeping bag/mat, Akto, lightweight waterproof overtrousers, water filter, sit mat, down jacket, and jetboil in my Kestrel for a weight of just under 14pounds. It feels nothing! Need to add to that my first aid kit, head torch, map, food+water. It's a bit tight on space, but I think I can pack down the jacket better with a dry bag (need to buy) which will probably take Adventure Bear as well for the same volume. And my Velez if I'm not wearing it can go under the top as well. Result!
