This is called "where the hell is Matt".

It is terrifically inspiring and the music is very apt. Give it a watch.

Porridge Jerky! Eh!?

Just back from watching Hancock, great movie except for the cheesy ending, it should have ended about five minutes before it did, but otherwise a good movie.

Anyway off to bo bo now, looking forward to hearing more of MOS's dehydrating recipes and looking forward to Matt being her guinea pig!

eh? You're expecting MoS to dehydrate Matt. That could be entertaining!!

Right, packing almost done, car got to be stuffed tomorrow, otherwise we're ready to go. Ireland, here we come!! Have a great time, everyone, in my absence. I may log on from the cybercaff in Killarney in a week or so, but otherwise I'll be completely internet-free, which will be odd. Happy walking, see you on 20th.

"where the hell is Matt" - I liked that, a lot. A good idea for a video combined with a nice piece of music.

(Edited to put in what I meant to say in the first place)

Mornin', I wish I could dance.

It's the second day of dehydrating  - I'm persevering with my porridge.

The new bread maker arrived this morning - this is fun

May I recommend a good moisturiser?

Dancing is one of life's joys. I will hate being too old to dance....

You're never too old to dance; you should see me strut my stuff to "Mustang Sally"

When one's legs give up, there's always hand jiving

I wonder if moisturiser would help my dehydrated porridge, I fear it's beyond hope

Kate's gone hasn't she?

I didn't wish her a happy holiday, so if anyone sees her, please pass it on.

Have a lovely time, Kate, hope the weather's fine

Nice video there Ace!I'm pretty sure that those are American F15 Eagle strike fighter aircraft there by the way, so that job over in the States is called being an 'Eagle Driver'........and they have to win the much coveted 'Eagle Driver' sew on patch for their uniforms. The only downsides to the job are SAM missile units shooting at you ground to air, ...oh and having to drop bombs on some other folks....not all of whom actually deserve it...as a lot of mistakes get made, 'blue on blue' incidents as our forces term it and all, or 'friendly fire' incidents if you prefer the older US terminology. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friendly_fire and boy if you read a histor of those it is real alarming. Looking at all the downsides of the job, I'm not so sure I'd really like it much at all......even if one does get to fly like a bird and see lots of heavenly sunsets and mountain ranges. You could get those in any private aircraft or micro-light though, and it would be so much safer an experience.

No way Trev! I used to fly gliders and light aircraft; it was great fun but came no where near the experience of flying in a Lighting fighter!

I've always fancied getting a PPL Ace. Maybe one day. I used to fly paragliders. Great fun.

Morning

I did a bit of paragliding some years back - brilliant - but never had the time to take it up 'properly'. I always thought it was a bit odd how they taught you to take off before they taught you to land!

I'm busy on the phone trying to track down some shoes to try on. Hardly any in my area. Grrrrrrr! I don't like buying footwear online unless it's a brand i'm confident will fit me.

I sold all my paragliding kit years ago to raise funds for an extended trip abroad that never happened.

Morning from a dreich Weegieland

I'm back on the injury list again. Got planter fascitis again and the drugs aint workin Enforced sitting about today but I do have my new camera to play with, Ricoh R7

Time for coffee while I'm waiting on the battery charging............

You can't beat having new gear to play with. I sympathise with the enforced sitting! I think i may be worsening my leg by not resting it.
