Wanted - decent multi-knife

Hi All

You know what it's like - you ask somebody what they want for Christmas and they ask for something so specific, it's like trying to find rocking-horse poo.
I have a relation in the Army Cadets who needs a decent folding or Swiss Army style knife, must be DPM not the standard red colour, according to the RSM.

All sane and clean suggestions appreciated, thanks in advance.

Leatherman has just released a new range of knives, don't know if they're available in cammo though.

Surely having a DPM knife just means that you'll lose it as soon as you drop the thing in any sort of outdoors situation, black makes more sense.
That's what I thought, Jon. Red makes even more sense!
I'm not gonna argue, though - the intended recipient is a woman...

Most of the Victorinox range of knives is available in camo (not sure about the Wenger versions) so if you start a net search now you should be able to get one by Christmas. They are all good, but if you want a model thats a good compromise of features vs size, get the 'Huntsman'.

gadgeteers.co.uk claim to have camo swiss army knives in stock (pop-up list gives colour options).

I'd have thought that if you're so concerned about colour that it has to be DPM, then you'd want one with phosphate-treated metalwork, so as not to reflect.

I think the RSM is taking the piss...

Swiss Ranger Camo Multi-Knife

Swiss Camper Camo Multi-Knife

German Issue Pocket Knife

Or just get a Swedish Army (Mora) knife instead. If the RSM complains, you know where to shove it... It doesn't come with tweezers, though...

OK sorted now. Got the camo huntsman £14.99 from www.outdoorgear4u.co.uk via eBay.
Many thanks to you all.
Does it bug anyone else that the Leatherman Micra comes with everything under the sun except a Tin Opener, yet comes with a bottle opener? And why do they always come with corkscrews and no tin opener grrrrrrr!!! Or is it just me? ( Yeh prob just me moaning again! )
