I'm looking to replace my silk sleeping bag liner.
I'm sure I've seen some recent reviews on one of the outdoor mags, but can't seem to find it.
I'm looking for one, that's not white and is of a decent length - my existing one Sea2Summit was always short and has shrunk still further in the wash despite it being at 30C as recommended.

Any recommendations..

I got mine from one of the 'Outdoors' shops when they were run by the Scout Association. Perhaps Blacks/Millets might have the same ones?? It was v economical (cheap) at about £20.

Keep an eye out for Aldi/ Lidl offers. They sold them for £7-99 last year

Beat me to it - I got a Lidl blue one for £9.99. Great value.

Lloyd, I reviewed sleeping bag liners in the February TGO. The one I reckon best is the Cocoon Silk Mummy, which is 214cm long. It comes in various colours. I've had one for several years and have washed it regularly at 40c and it hasn't shrunk.

I'd been using a Rab one for years (it started white) but last year I found some by a UK outfit called Lemon Tree in Snow and Rock - black, mummy shaped, plenty long enough for my 6ft height, and very light, 70g including the stuff sac!

Can't remember exactly but I think it was about £40 though.

DON'T buy the Rab one! I did and it's very good BUT it's not made by Rab. It's made by Jagbags (http://www.jagbags.co.nz/

They ship internationally so save yourself a small fortune and buy direct from the maker. The website's a bit basic but functional and they have a very good range.

EDIT: IIRC, the Rab one (aka Hitech mummy in fine silk) cost £40 and it's only £18.50 ($32) direct from Jagbags including shipping!

The Rab ones seem to have got bulkier and heavier recently too (ok, not very bulky or heavy in the grand scheme of things, but not as light as they were...)

I echo Geoff's comments on the rab / jagbags bit, i ordered one from jagbags last year, it was posted but never turned up, i emailed them and they said it wasn't possible to track the parcel as it was sent airmail and most probably customs may have intercepted it and be holding it up but they offered me a full refund or a free of charge replacement, i opted for a replacement hoping that lightning couldn't strike twice and sure enough about a week later the replacement arrived with a complimentary pen as well, then about 3 months later the original one turned up, it didn't look like customs had been into the package but the postmark was correct for the original shipment date so i would say jagbags are a safe and very customer friendly company to deal with and the liner is really nice.
I've got the sea to summit mummy one, it is a bit shorter, but only by enough not to get all wrinkly in your bags shoulder baffle.
JYCs got the rab version, it's a bigger pack size with it's drawcord.

I've got the sea 2 summit 'long' one (210cm length). Bought from 'The Complete Outdoors' (shopping partner, see on left).

I've got a Jagbags liner, essentially because it is longer than standard (I'm 6'2") and it's a good bit cheaper than anything else around.

It arrived within the week.

Jagbags seemed to attract a good reputation on UKC; good quality, cheap, good service.

I've got a couple of the Lidl ones, and, at £10 each, they're fine.
