Lowe Alpine Schoeller Trousers
Are they any good?

Hi folks, BG's back!

Today I tried a pair of L A Schoeller Trousers at TKMaxx, at last a pair that actually fit and feel right.

Before I start bartering with my beads, shells and shiny stones, I thought I would ask you lot for your relevant experiences / opinions regarding said trews, please.

Unfortunately, the only trousers I've tried were LA ladies' in the men's section of TKM. I tried them on the off-chance that they wouldn't be too female-tailored... Sadly, they were. But they were beautifully cut and made.

If you find a pair that fit you and are cheap (for your given view of cheap), I'd snap them up; I've been looking around for some Schoeller Extreme trousers for winter walking, and was hoping TKM might find some men's LA trousers...

Interesting that the women's trousers I've seen have been in Schoeller Extreme, whereas the men's soft shell jackets have been their own 'Desert Weave Tech Stretch' fabric, which is pretty similar.

Dunno about the LA ones but I've got a pair of MEC Schoeller "pants" and I think they're terrific! Bit warm for summer use though.
