Sprayway are now based in Dublin under the control of the Langdon group who run the budget brand Scanada (sounds likes trucks)
They've a factory shop in dublin as well. In the past year or so they've been sorta rebranding themselves with new logos so i assume there's shake ups at HQ hence the recent decline in distribution.

I've got a Sprayway 3 layer Goretex jacket. It's wearing well and does me fine. When I first got it, it didn't half sound like a paper bag every time I moved! It's softened up now but it's still not the comfiest thing to drive in.

I also got a Sprayway fleece for £25 which is ok for kicking round town.

Just bought a "Dominator" SW Jacket (who thinks up these names) at TK Maxx for £90..very happy a nice piece of kit 700 grms, windproof, loadsa pockets and keeps me warm as toast....mmmmmm.
Now i am a bigger brand snob as anyone but this Jacket is the dogs bollocks and does the job, also in a nice dark blue and not screaming purple or whatever the new colours are called

Ive a SW Litespeed softshell top ..Polartech Powershield..was £60 from TKMaxx rrp £140 excellent; wear it a lot, Walking Rainpants, do the job as stated on the tin, and a couple of fleeces, which are..fleeces.
And I admired a SW yellow Gtex jacket in Blacks the other week, but a tad bright for me.

Top tip: Arco Safety warehouses sell SW stuff at very reasonable prices as well as Berghaus stuff too.

My "winter" jacket is a Spray way, I've had it for 5 years now; I'm happy enough with it.

Yep don't own any myself but Sprayway is good functional kit. I don't think I have seen any of their waterproofs returned for repair in working 2 yrs in ourdoor shops.

From what I have heard I suspect their distrubtion will improve for 2005.

Loads of Sprayway Goretex jackets in TK Maxx. In my experience there's usually a reason why things end up in there!

...cos nobody buys them the first time through, like the patagucci stuff in there.

My last cag was Sprayway and it was a great one. Their customer service was great too.

I'd've stayed with them but I got a bargain on XCR from ME and joined the ME dark side...

I was sepaking to the guy in my local outdoor shop and Sprayway spent too much on designers and have been bought by Swiss Cutlery, who , apparently, own ME. Expect a raise in standards was his opinion.

Sprayway seemed to suffer from a 'boom and bust' design cycle. They'd launch a new, fairly cutting edge range, and then sit on it for too long. Then they'd re-vamp it all. This may be due to repeated changes in ownership.

The last bout of design produced some good-looking kit, and seemed to try to pull themselves up with the likes of Patagonia, MHW, etc (whose style can be seen to influence the new range), but it may be that the cost of developing and introducing it has caused a cashflow problem. I have a 'Zone 2' ThermalPro jacket I bought in TK Maxx, and I love it.

I had a Torridon jacket years back with a stud-off hood, I knew nothing in those days, however much fun was had in it and now part of the shoulder is a kick patch on a pair of paclite pants.
