Just to reassure people, I am still alive. The spray made a notable improvement to the smelliness of my base layers, but the effect is starting wear off after about 3 months.

What's the difference between the Montane Terra T and the Bionic?

I like the Paramo Cambia T for hot weather but it still pongs at the end of the day which doesn't make me very popular in the pub or in the car on the way home! :(

Might try one of the Montane T's - or is that new lighter weight lightweight icebreaker mentioned above suitable for someone who runs very hot (aka sweats a lot!) I love my icebreaker in winter but it needs to be a very cold day to avoid overheating...

I find it hard to wear regular Icebreaker Ts and always use superfine. From their website the finer Ts are now on the market (140s) and I look forward to checking them out. Note also the Alpkit Bleat, a polyester merino mix.
The only problem I've found with the icebreakers is that the superfines develop small holes that grow. I'll have to retire a few of mine later this year after the WHW.

The garments although quite similar come from different ranges targeted at different activities. The Terra is for walking and general adventure wear. The Bionic is for running around aggressively, possibly in the dark.

I can recommend the Smartwool Microweight T-shirt. I'll admit I've only worn it once crossing Bleaklow and Howden Edge on a hot September's day. The shoulders and parts of the body were wet with sweat/condensation by the time I arrived at the pub BUT I remained comfortable throughout, it didn't smell the next day and I was impressed.

Difficult to get the MICROweight T-shirts. You'll have to go to www.macmountaineering.co.uk to get them. Very nice company. I should know I've just received some of these t-shirts from them.

Try a Nike football training T.100%Polyester,no sleeves. Use one they wash and dry overnight ,have put on damp they dry very quickly on. I have also crushed and pocketed pine needles,lavender, and other herbs if uncertain of aroma and need to go into shops etc before laundry.
