 I've got a two person blokka bag
It's great for stopping for a cup of tea when its blowing a very wet gale but I don't think I'd like it in a proper 'survival' situation, I'd sooner be laying down sheltered in my poly bag

 By coincidence, I've just been over to see Vango and had a look at their Storm Shelter - it's a box-shaped thing, comes in sizes to suit from one to eight people, draw cord at base, waterproof sitting bit, window, vent, reflective cross, starts at £20 for the one-man version up to £40 for the eight-person shelter. Not massively light though - 400 grammes for one man, 600 grammes for two etc.
Probably a good buy if you want something that'll also double as a lunch shelter.

To be more accurate, it is the Vango Storm Shelter sort of thing I was thinking of but a bit lighter would be nice. Cheaper would be even nicer still ;-)

I asked Vango about the weight / price thing. They say that they use the basic lightweight fabric rather than the lighter, tougher, more expensive Force 10 spec stuff primarily to keep the price down. Say there's no loss of strength, but more expensive fabric would push prices up and they want them to be relatively affordable.

 I use a Terra Nova bothy 4 and it's great, you can get up to five in it, the bag turns into the vent and it has 2 windows in it, so you don't feel quite as much like you are on another planet when you are in it! The material is waterproof rip stop nylon and they do it in a 2 man version and a 12 man version.

The price (£55) doesn't compare too favourably with the vango though....or is the Vango cr*p?

Harry I wouldn't say cr*p but you only have to use one with a draw cord a couple of times before you ae fed up with it. The Terra nova is all complete, it folds out of the bag and back into it, you've got nothing to loose or blow away and no draw cords to tangle up, tred on and anoy as Terra nova use an elasticated hem which works well.
As always you get what you pay for, Terra nova have a hugely god name to protect, they don't make cheap stuff and they satnd by their reputation for quality.

I've just checked Harry and £55 seems a bit steep we have them for £49.95 so it may be an idea to hunt around.
