Best socks for Meindl Burma MFS Boot?

Can someone please recommend some socks to go with my new Meindl Burma MFS boots?

I do not need a winter sock, just a sock for moderate/warm climates.

I have some x-socks trekking expedition socks but I am getting some rubbing marks on the top of one of my toes - this maybe because I am still breaking the boots in and a couple of my toes do stick up more than normal but does anyone suggest trying a different sock? eg will I be better with the 1000 mile lightwieght sock, Brasher all terrian sock, Bridgedale trekker or something else?

Don't think there is a specific 'best' sock for a particular boot - would recommend just buying a few pairs and trying them.

Perhaps try the Bridgedale liners with something like a Bridgedale light hiker sock - quite a comfortable option which may help?

x sock are definitely my first choice for anything outside winter temperature, and the trekking expedition are v.good.

Keep trying with the Burmas, they take a lot of breaking in compared to some other boots, the leather in MFS take time to adapt to your foot and can push in the wrong places a bit at first!

I 've just returned from a scottish trip using borneos and x-socks trekking lite and they were a revelation ! Best socks I've ever used.

Try smartwool light hiker for a slightly thicker, more cushioned feel.

I use x-sock trekking light, x-sock airforce 1 or 1000 mile hiker sock depending on the weather. i also have areally thin pair of brasher 1x1 that i like when its really hot.

Have recently bought a pair of x socks airforce 1. Significantly better than my smartwool and thorlo. I wear with meindl burma and find they keep my feet much cooler than other socks.

my fave at the mo are the"fox river" range. a good merino wool mix good for warmth and good for the cold. last year was the x soxs range but got fed up of them shrinking on me..
somthing that is fitted to the foot (left and right) gives good air flow around the foot inside the boot and has less bulk. think about your ankles. remember ankles do swell on long or hot days
