Alpkit Gourdon - First Look
First impressions of the dry bag that thinks it's a day pack, or is it the other way round?

Sounds great! If it is as waterproof as claimed, you could attach a hose & bite valve! A 25/30 litre hydration bag!

Got one of the first ones. Def. fully waterproof.

Nice and light though I don't expect it to last forever. Straps are a bit slim so under a heavy load not so great. Waist belt is unpadded so not so useful.

The window on mine went cloudy after two months. Anyone else similary aflicted?

Haglofs also do a one of these, called the Dryback WB & Dryback BP, when not using the bags fully loaded they either fold down into a waist pack or pocket design respectively.

I've got one of the first ones too - yes window has gone a little cloudy. Bonus use though - as its airtight as well as watertight it makes quite a nice pillow!

I bought mine the week they came out and its still clear and clean - despite putting up with my mucky football kit twice a week!

Mine has been knocked about a bit. Still waterproof, clear window still clear apart from one minor abrasion.
The straps are naff, too thin and slip as if greased. A case of the ship being spoiled for the want of a ha'porth of tar to my mind but, all in all, a good bit of kit.

Not used my Gourdon for about 6 weeks, I'm sure my window wasn't noticably cloudty when i last used it but it is now (in patches).

My slippery straps have been modified with the aid of a bit of cotton, a sewing machine and a couple of lines of zig zag stitching. however not sure how much use the extra stitching will stand but the slip is currently stopped.

I hate walking around like a bleedin' advertising hoarding, otherwise I would have ordered two. (One to keep her quiet!!).

u can rig up a compression system if you superglue some webbing to the sides then add some cord an a toggle and away you go.
used mine in knoydart during the recent rain an it was great! amazed at how strong the super glue was as i have tryed an tryed to pull off the webbing an failed.

You should show us a picture. This sounds quite impressive.
