Hi All.

Recently destroyed the footbeds to my Salomon XA Pro 3D's and was wondering if their ortholite jobbies are available aftermarket to replace the knackard ones! Would prefere to stay wil salomon as they've worked really well.

I had a look on their website but couldn't find anything or a way of contacting them.

Cheers

Ben

What size feet do you have? I might have some spares.

The shoes are 9.5 uk so assuming the footbeds are a similar size.

Cheers

Ben

I'll be interested to see how you get on with this Ben. I've suffered with shin splints and many other foot related issues for years and have pronation and the Salomon Ortholite system footbeds are the only thing that has ever resolved this problem, if I could I'd sleep with them I love em that much!

Unfortunately its running in the XA pro's on the roads thats done my shins in again. Stupidly used them over my sauconys a while ago when it was wet and muddy.

The footbeds themselves are excellent but have to be careful what shoes their in! I'm in the 3rd week of my running layoff and the pains only just going away when walking about.

Oh and booting a rugby ball about doesn't help the recovery process!

I also use the footbeds that are about £25 from Boots to sort my shins out, especially for when I play footy on astro turf, give em a go!

Strange - the Ortholite footbeds in my Salomons seem to be pretty much the same as any other standard footbed. What makes them different?

Jamie (and anyone else thats interested)

I've just called Salomon after someone on runners world found the contact details and their posting a pair out to me this afternoon!

now thats service!

contact details are:
GREAT BRITAIN
Salomon GB
Jays Close, Viables Business Park
Basingstoke, Hampshire
RG22 4BS
England
TEL: 44.1256.479.555
FAX: 44.1256.465.562

I supose their not that different except they seem to give more arch support than normal and stop my feet from rolling inwards therefore making me walk/run properly reducing the stress on your joints. Similar in type to superfeet only cushioned!

I wonder if they do different types?
Mine have a token raised bit on the very inside edge but they're so far from my instep, and so soft, that they provide exactly the same arch support as a completely flat insole.
