That looks like 24cm x 12cm to me.

Simon, I had a Venom 225 and dont think it would be long enough for you. Its quite a slim bag too. Packs up small though.
Funnily enough, I got one of the Tesco down bags recently and with a silk liner its just fine as a summer bag.
24cm long, 51cm dia.

Sorry, that should have been circumference, not diameter. Measuring round the bag. You can see why I'm no longer a QS :(

Hi Simon, bit late to this thread but just thought I'd chip in... I have a ME dreamcatcher 450(? I forget; it's the blue one) which is incredibly warm and comfortable - it's the elastic bits round the knees, same as in your sleepwalker.

My boyfriend has the sleepwalker, and while they are a similar size and warmth level when unpacked, my bag packs down to about a third of the size of his, and I'm sure it would go smaller with compression straps (I literally just stuff it in its bag). The boyf had a venom before that, but I made him buy a new one (well, ask for one for his birthday!) because he was freezing in it when we were camping in Scotland (in the summer), nicked my liner bag and still needed an extra blanket.

My dreamcatcher was also a present, so I'm not sure exactly how much it cost - not cheap though, I know. But every time I use it I know I'll have a warm and cosy night.

I've been thinking about using the Venom 225 inside one of the Tesco bags for colder conditions (I seem to be ok down to about freezing in the Vango alone) - any idea if they'd fit - the Vango is pretty small?

You would be better off buying a decent 3 season bag; it would be lighter than 2 separate bags probably ,and you can always undo the zip to vent it if you get too hot.
I like the Go-Lite Feather bags. The new ones have a vent you can poke your feet through too.

I've got a 3-season synthetic bag already but it's about the same weight as my 2 down bags combined (I've just aquired a ME Dewline) but takes up more pack-space.

The ME Dewlines is just about usable 3-season by itself anyway (-5 comfort) but in colder temperatures I might give it a try combined with the Venom 225 or with a down jacket.

Does anyone have or have used the Vango Venom range. Maybe the 200?

I have a Venom 225 which I have been happy with so far. It has only been used in warm conditions so far, so I haven't really tested it at low temperatures.

It packs up nice and small, but I have found that it seems to be leaking a small amount of down every time I pack it and unpack it. Is this normal for a down bag, or have I got a duff one?

I've noticed the very occasional bit of down escaping from my Venom 225.
